I always feel something big whenever Italy enters tournaments. A big fan from Ethiopia.Forza Italia!
I do too. It’s called an ulcer.
@@lucareid Humm, L.O.L.
I'm not Italian but I'm always for them. FORZA ITALIA 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
Me too!!

Italy will either go out in the group stages or reach the final. There is no between with Italia😂😂😂😂🇮🇹
100% agree, if there is one thing we learned from being an italy supporter over the years.
if we have a super good lineup we shouldn't get too excited and if we have a talentless lineup we f should not lose hope cz we might win it 😂😂😂😂
You're both in denial It's cute that youse are laughing ... Italia is gonna spank everyone in group B
True 😂
Italy beats Germany 2-1 in extra to win it all
Trust me. I come from the future
@@robbiealessandrotv748 well i hope so, i support them to the bone and i am not even italian and if you read our comment now we are in a somewhat in a inferior lineup so if we spank everyone like u said are comment will be 100% true.
FORZA ITALIA
Serie A is so technically sound, its the most defensive and skill based league in my opinion. Unfortunately this Italian team unlike most in the past dont have the experience in serie A or international. International is perfect for our style, but many teams and leagues have done nothing to develop our talent.
I want us to play and start mainly serie a players only or experienced international players.
People seem to worry about sciring on this team. Italy never been scorers. We never needed that and its always been a weakness on paper yet shocked the tournaments always. Our strengths is defense and keeping. Well psg has done nothing to develop donna to the point id consider vicario. Im glad veratti wasnt selected, between psg and arabia, i never want to see him again.
Between Injuries and age, many of our pillars have been removed. This team is not world class, and its a transitioning period.
BRIGHT SIDE THOUGH
We won u17, u19. Our youth is world class. We have a very bright future as long as they get the experience in serie a and international.
All that being said, i believe in this team. I do believe we can win it all because italy was made for these tournaments. Ill take this team as is over all these teams that play like its domestic soccer.
1982. Italy who was the darkhorse, killed Brazilian football forever. Thats what we do. We come out, and we alter reality for everyone. Never count us oit, especially in the Euro
Italy wins 2024 euro
I think we will have a strong squad for the 2026 world cup tbh. I think players like Calafiori are here to stay, since they're young and have good talent. Plus the new talent that'll come from the U21, U19 and U17 teams. Casedei will also be a starter in 2026 I'm pretty sure. And perhaps due to the lack centre forwards we might even bring Camarda along which is I think will be a new Totti or Del Piero. He's got the talent.
Italy can be last of their group or champion, and nobody will be surprised either way.
A reminder for the older Gentelman saying that Italy will beat Croatia just like that....We have played 8 times total, with us(Croatia) having 3 wins and 5 matches ending with a draw(including the one in 2012 group stage). So it would be a first for Italy. Not saying it wont happen but it is definitely not 3 points in the bag already.
Also all this talk about us being an old squad is not really true as we have a lot of young players mixed with the older guard and a lot of players in their prime atm.We are in transition these past years.
Attacking wise we are stronger then in 2022 since we have Budimir up front,2nd scorer of la liga this year(was 1st before injury). He is no Mandzukic, but is a better option then what we had prior to this year.
Great group and I for one am looking forward to all the matches.I have high hopes this tournament for us,but if we go out I wish Italy all the best.Always had a soft spot for you guys when it comes to football.
Greetings form Split.
Its going to be a draw probably. Croatia will have the upper hand as they have been doing well in major tournaments.
🙏🏼 respect
Croatians have earned it!!
I do not underestimate Croatia at all... though I am not an older gentleman to be fair... Both Spain and Croatia are very tough teams and as for Albania it's a worthy contender in the Group too. If we're not careful we'll end up last in the group. So we have to always give it our best shot
Budimir is the 5th top scorer...Where did you get the "he's second" from?
Hi. I am Italian and I never thought Croatia is easy to beat. There are no easy teams in this group. Good luck to you and let the best win (but please God, neither France nor Germany)
I believe Italy will win too. This team has to be hungry especially after missing out on the World Cup. I can’t believe it’s been three years already.
🤞💙🇮🇹
@@Germanicus-how you feel about Italy this time…honestly.
@@roccosage8508 I think we need a leader on the field, but who and when are the questions. I believe we have a decent team, a lot of good individual players who need more time together. I also think our chances aren't that great, unless there's been a lot of sand bagging in the friendlies. But, you never know until you know. What do you think?
@@Germanicus- I agree. There’s quality in the team, but not enough time to gel under Spalletti and the lack of leadership is concerning. I’m bracing myself for the worst tbh. It’s an unforgiving group and I’m not sure we’ll get 3 points vs Albania. We won’t beat Spain or Croatia either. So I’m thinking we finish with 3 draws, or maybe two draws and a loss.
We’ll have 30% possession against Spain and with no clear attacking prowess on Italy, that’s a draw at best.
Croatia will dominate possession as well, their midfield is too good and they’re physical. Which is why Italy’s never beaten them. Italy traditionally struggles vs physical sides.
If we had more time with Spalletti and/or if we weren’t in group of death I’d have more faith. Sadly I don’t see it. I also look for signs in the lead up to tournaments, and losing Acerbi, Scalvini, Zaniolo, Tonali and now potentially Barella and Fagioli…it does not augur well.
Hungry means will win ? Too much pizza you eat
Just saw an amazing stat from last Euro.. Verratti lead the whole tournament with 30 tackles . the next most was 15 by Locatelli. That’s a HUGE number. We need to replace that production and without Tonali it will be more. difficult. Also Veratti did that in only 4 matches. He didn’t start first 3. Amazing.
Tonali is a huge asset...hopenhe returns and help the way into wc 2026
Why the heck Spalletti didnt TaKe Verratti guys???! Opinions??
Cause he plays in Saudi League and it’s not respected. As is he played in MLS. Level of football isn’t same.
@@azzurrijuve2719 Ok. But this is dont understand. What does it matter Where you play because even If you dont play in the best leagues now your skills dont disappear anyhow. So Why not taking Verratti. This i cant understand. We dont have anybody on the same level as he is.
@@jonisilfverberg2788
it absolutely does matter. You’re playing against lesser competition , your skills aren’t kept sharp. Conte wouldn’t look at Giovinco once he left for MLS even though he lead the league in goals. Several coaches have done the same. Also , if you’re playing at Al nassar the coaches aren’t at the same level tactically and another few levels down for top leagues. It adds up.
Kids of Spain 🇪🇸 just made Italy 🇮🇹 look like a "Quartiere Calabrese" team
Great conversation guys but please have some respect for Di Lorenzo.. This is a very young Italian team, Di Lorenzo is the Napoli captain and is one of the few survivors from our last Euros winning team.. Great physical attributes, calm presence on the ball and most importantly Spalletti trusts him.
Can't believe I had to scroll this far in the comments to see someone defend Di Lorenzo. He's a captain of the team, he won the Euros and the Scudetto. He's motivated to show he's worth a move to a contender and Spalletti knows how to use him.
To start the tournament
-------------------------------------Gigi---------------------------------
----------------Darmian--Buongiorno--Bastoni-------------
Di Lorenzo------------------------------------------------Dimarco
----------------------Barella------------Jorginho------------------
Zaccagni-------------------Scamacca----------------Chiesa
He didn’t have a great year but neither did many of the Napoli players. I think Spalletti will start him based on the reasons you gave. However, he should sit if he doesn’t perform after the first game. 🤞
i am an interista and i agree with you! Di Lorenzo is a monster imo...one of the few good players that Napoli had this year!
@@RagnarEdward1313experience and leadership matter in big tournaments
@@michaelgagliardi3332 100% if he doesn't perform someone else steps up but with that spot is his to lose.
Italy played the best football in the last Euros, you do realise that, that's why they won it, great team work with a mix of quality and flare when it mattered.

looking at this podcast 4 days after the albania-italy game. antonio was the only one remotely close to guessing the line up spalleti put out . only one he didn’t get right was jorginho over fagioli. what a expert. Calafiori proved these guys wrong. it’s funny how these guys are always ranting about how Italy never plays their young guys, yet they were doubting calafiori saying he’s young and inexperienced. like the dude is 22 and has that aura. what a game. too early to judge but looks like he’ll be retaining his place against spain & im excited to see!
So happy to see you guys again! Lets do it for the Azzurri!
I remember watching the euro 2020 with you guys live. So much fun. Looking forward to watching the games with ya. Loved the reactions and the community in the comments.
I recognized the bald guy. He was my favorite. Hes very very informed. And i remember the main host of the channel during shoot out was so serious lol he lost it when we won
352 has always worked well for us against Spain. Going back to the group game in 2012, with De Rossi playing in the middle of a back 3, we were excellent and a little unlucky to only get a draw. A few weeks later, in the final, Prandelli switched to a back 4 and we got destroyed (granted we were down to 10 and Chiellini was injured, but Spain were deserved winners).
We played Spain again in the 2013 Con-Fed. Prandelli learned from his mistake in the 2012 final and went with a 352 to again. We played very well - Candreva had a great game - and were unlucky to draw once again.
2016, our so called average team arguably put in the performance of the tournament to beat Spain 2-0. Once again it was a 352 under Conte.
So yes, 352/3421 vs Spain. The only downer is Chiesa has difficulties with these systems and Spalletti has very little time to solve this.
I remember that match!!!!
In the final we loose for prandelli
Dan I completely agree Italy in a 352 or 3421 cut the blood flow from the Spaniards, plus from the middle Spain could not play tiki taka...the Germans learned from us which they also beat Spain and even the USA team also beat Spain in a confed tourney by that system...
Antonio the GENIUS called the 4-2-3-1 formation, even starting Barella who we all thought would be injured, and he only omitted Di Lorenzo and Jourginho bc they don’t live up to his standards. Certified calcio genius 😎
You guys gave very solid pointers
Did Gaetano say in 2006 Italy didn’t have the best group? Half the team were HOFers.
Totti
Pirlo
DelPiero
Cannavaro
Nesta
Inzaghi
Buffon
I wa born in 92, started watching 02 wc. I thought the 2000s was the best team I ever saw of us. Even the vets of that team carried us for another decade.
@@matsalvatore9074 definitely most talented team we had this century…maybe 1990 with young Baggio, Baresi, Bergomi, Giannini, Vialli, and a young Maldini was comparable.
yes, but there were stronger teams on paper (like Brazil or France). And let's remember that Totti or Del Piero have never played that good for Italy.
@@stex83 oh boy. Here we go. Totti was arguably Italy’s best player in Euro 2000 and named to the team of the tournament. If it wasn’t for DelPiero’s brain fart on Totti’s pinpoint pass, we’d have 3 Euros. Totti was also fantastic in 2002 Korea, accept the reffing was scandalous and we all know how that ended up. In 2006 Totti had 16 metal screws in his leg and recovered just in time for the tournament…4 assists and a goal. The ONLY reason people still harp on Totti with Italy is because of the spitting incident 2004. That’s it.
As for DelPiero, he sucked every tournament.
@@roccosage8508 totti is my favorite player ever. I only watch international. I always thought he was great. 06 I remember he had those screws put in MARCH lol. Insane.
Scamacca with 5 goals this tournament ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️🏟️
Scoring 5 goals in tournament isn't easy like eating 5 spoons of Nutella, especially when you're in the "Group of death".
Se Dio vuole
As I said, scoring 5 goals isn’t so easy. He already failed against the easiest opponent in group.
I wish Italian in Italy were as optimistic as those who live abroad!! Here in Italy every time before the euros there's so much negativity about the team. specially this year. always the same crap
I noticed that. I think its because since 06 we never expect to win it but we know we are capable just a weird period where we haven't produced world class players for awhile. It's OK though. We win u17 n u19. Its coming and so will the optimism maybe
@@matsalvatore9074 yes, but people should remember that in the 90's we had a team of top players and we didn't win anything. Just lost 1 world cup final and in 92 we didn't even qualify for euros...world class players don't always count. the team playing is more important.
@@stex83🤝🏼 Ben detto, well said
Italy has a habit of starting their tourney's a little slow. If they can escape their group, then they gel and the team can do special things. Points will be at a premium in the group and upsets can occur here.
Agreed. 100%
I love how Anto first says he wasn’t too keen on Fagioli until the last two friendlies. Then, later in the podcast, he says, “You think I just started watching Fagioli during these two friendlies?? I’ve been watching him since way before he got banned. The kid can ball” 😂😂😂
I think Spalletti is capable of getting the best out of Di Lorenzo. He's his man and he's the most consistent Italian player in last 5-6 years.
FORZA AZZURRI!
3-5-2 makes more sense keep the Inter style
We need to be able to defend well with back 5 and be good at counter attack and when pressing using our fullbacks to stretch defenses
i like the direction this channel. 100%
I'm honestly a little surprised nobody thought Buongiorno did good in the last few games. He really impressed me, I thought he did well enough and was giving us signs that he can be a great defender for Italy in the future. Fagioli has also really impressed me as of late. As for Dimarco, he is usually great but he did terrible against Bosnia.
It might be a tournament too soon for this new look squad and tactics. But we always hope!! Forza Italia...
I can’t see Italy going far this time let’s hope that this team does good and qualify first FORZA IFTV 💙🖤
Italy should qualify for next round. I’m confident. Winning the tournament is doubtful.
You guys should do a transfer update type of podcast highlighting possible transfers and landing spots for all the key Serie A players 🔥🙌🏽
Spalletti knows why he picked Fagioli. He said for a technical reason, and trust me Fagioli is that technical. He just gotta unleashed his potential and not hold back. The Italian team is hungry and trying to prove a point. I really hope we win.
as much as I'd love for that to happen... the most realistic thing is a group stage or at best a quarterfinal exit. If we somehow make it to the finals it is literally the football gods carrying us through.
I think Italy finishes behind Spain. 2-1. 7pts tie. Draw with one another. Spain takes first on scoring 7 gls allowing 3, Italy scores 5 allows 2.
I think Italy then goes on to beat Switzerland 1-0
Italy beats England 2-1
Italy beats France 2-2 in shootout
Italy beats Germany in extra time 2-1 to win it all in the biggest euro upset and greatest run ever.
6 wins. 1 draw. 0 losses. 12 gs. 6 ga
Nicolo Barella will be player of the tournament with 3 gls 3 ast
Bro woke up and chose stupidity
@@UnwindyourMind247 well I am ignorant. I'm a casual. I watch only the international tournaments every couple years. But if you know anything, you know Italy is capable of winning any euro. They been strong in all of them since the 04 debacle. So it's realistic considering they've had similarly impressive runs with under looked teams
There are no expectations from Italy, which means no pressure. This can either make them propelle or get koed in the groups. Personally, i believe Italy will reach at least the quarter.
Im a bit late, but will there be livestreams watchalong from you guys?
A lot of people don’t understand that despite the fact that this is a much weaker Italy side, it is very dangerous and ignorant/ill informed to write us off so easily. Esp those who are making a mockery of us saying we won’t even get out of the group. I’m not saying Italy will win it. We most likely won’t. I’m expecting quarters. Semis at best if the stars align. That said, hear me out. First is the group. Yes, it’s going to be a very tough group. But every team in this group is far from their best atm except Albania. Yes, while the other 3 are powerhouses historically, they’re all teams in transition atm. Spain lacks formidable attacking options and despite their wealth of talent in the midfield, these guys are all very young and very inexperienced. They could explode on the scene and play well. But there’s just as much of a chance that this tournament is too early for a lot of them and it ends up being too much. Then there’s their defense and GK. It is far from world class. Then, there’s Croatia. Another powerful team that I fear. But they’re also far from their best. Their midfield is aging and they could either be like bonucci and chiellini in the last euro. Or they could be like Italy in 2010. Too reliant on the old guard and get totally picked apart. Croatia also doesn’t have formidable attacking options like Spain. I’d much rather rely on Scamacca and Chiesa than Morata or whoever will play upfront for Croatia. If anything, despite being a small team, the only team in this group that is at their best atm is Albania. I can see the top 3 ending in multiple ways. It is totally up for grabs and may come down to whoever scores the most against Albania. Provided Albania play how everyone expects. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Albania punch above their weight. I could see this being like euro 2004 where the top 3 all pick up 3 points against Albania and then play conservatively against each other and all end on 5 points.
Then there’s the knockouts. First off, it’s a mistake to rule out anyone, but esp Italy during knockouts. Anyone can win a one off and we’ve proven time and again how dangerous we are in the knockout rounds of tournaments. Depending on our draw, I could easily seeing us have a good run to the semis. Don’t get me wrong, I also wouldn’t be surprised to see us go out in the group stage. There’s also several other things to consider. Italy have one of the best, if not the best, coach at the tournament. There’s not as much pressure on us bc everyone is counting us out/expectations are low. Then there’s the fact that there are not many teams that super solid at the moment. Any of these teams could easily lose in a one off game. We could get a favorable draw in terms of playing weaker teams depending how we perform in the group. OR we could also get a favorable draw in the sense of which of the favorites we get drawn against. For example, I prefer to avoid France or Portugal early on. Out of the favorites, those two would prob knock us out the fastest. Outside of them, anything can happen. I like our chances against Germany, England, or Belgium. If we get Germany, we all know how we’ve performed historically against Germany and I would not bet against us. If we draw England that could also benefit us. Yes England is way better technically and talent wise. BUT they’re also still coached by Southgate. Their defense is in shambles rn and they have no one to partner Stones. They also have no LB and are relying on Luke Shaw who won’t even be ready until the round of 16. Who knows if he will be match fit or how he will perform just coming back from injury. Then there’s the fact that we also perform against England in tournaments. MOST of all, England are bottle jobs. They may be way better on paper, but I would not at all be surprised to see Italy take it to them and send them home. Then there’s Belgium. We also tend to perform well against them and always beat them. This is also not the same Belgium team of the past decade (and we still managed to always beat that team). This is an older side with a burnt out Lukaku, an extremely poor defense, no Cortois, etc. After that, there is no team we can’t beat, esp in a one off knockout format. I could seeing us making it to the semis and being sent home by Portugal or France. If that happened, I would not be upset and it’s not a totally far fetched result/thing that can happen.
All of that said, we need to go out hungry and with something to prove and not take anyone for granted. We need to take 3 points from Albania and we need to do so convincingly bc goal differential will make a huge difference. We need to win like 3-0, ideally instead of starting out slowly as we often tend to do. Grab 3 points, build enthusiasm, ride that enthusiasm and exploit Spain’s weaknesses/pick up another 3 points, and then maybe rest players in the last game since we have no depth at all. Hopefully we top the group and get some kind of draw like what I mentioned. From what I saw, we could get Hungary in the round of 16 and then Austria in the quarterfinals. If that happened and we advanced to the semis, at that point anything at all could happen and there’s a chance we could win the whole thing.
I would love to see us make the final and play against France and beat them in the same stadium we beat them in in 2006. Is it gonna happen? Probably not. But it could. Don’t write us off!
This side is better than the one who won last euros in terms of quality...only issue is that's it's a new team.
@@cesco7 they may be eventually but as of right now they’re not. But I’d love to be wrong/I hope they do supersede the previous team. But no I don’t think this team is better. There may be some more potential but overall and right now, na this team isn’t better than the one who one the Euros
@@lucap6211 yes it is, if you watch serie A you'd know it. Barella, Bastoni, Donnarumma are top world class players in their respective roles, then you have extremely solid defence with Calafiori, Buongiorno, Mancini, Darmian....the midfield is missing Tonali, but Fagioli, Jorginho, Pellegrini and frattesi are all solid players. Forward you have Scamacca who is way better than last euros immobile, still Chiesa and a few interesting others. You also have Dimarco, Cambiaso, Dilorenzo, Bellanova.... This team as I said is definitely better in terms of quality.
The team that won euros was just more experienced with Chiellini/Bonucci.
@@cesco7 lol okay there’s no reason to get into insults. I do watch serie A and we both clearly care about the national team so I’m not gonna argue abt this. No one would be happier than me if this team performed better/if they’re better. I just don’t think they are. Simply as that. Agree to disagree. If anything, I think that team in 2021 was not only better but had more depth than this one.
@@cesco7 Barella, Bastoni, and Donnarumma are world class. When did I ever say they weren’t? And all three of them were at Euro 2020. Donnarumma, however, was in way better form going into the tournament vs right now. Same with Di Lorenzo. He was awful this season and was in way better form in 2021. Then we have Bonucci and Chiellini which you can’t downplay how important they were to winning the euros. They were integral. They were not only better than who we have starting at CB right now, but a lot more experience. I believe Bastoni will get there and he’s phenomenal already but you can’t compare him yet to Bonucci and Chiellini. Bastoni is unproven on the national stage. Bastoni also does not have a proven CB to play alongside him yet. Yes, Buongiorno had a phenomenal season. But to say that he is better than Bonucci or Chiellini is insane. Buongiorno’s career with the national team is literally just starting. He may surpass them one day but rn, absolutely not. No one in the world would say any of our current CBs are better than Bonucci and Chiellini. They have to prove themselves first. The closest one is Bastoni. He will get there soon. Then you have Spinazzola who was the player of the tournament last time. That said, I do think DiMarco can play just as good as he did. I’ll give it to you that overall DiMarco is probably better. But spinazzola was amazing during the last tournament. Look at the difference once he went out injured. Next is Jorginho. Jorginho was a balon dor candidate that year and at his peak. Jorginho is still integral to them team but he’s not as good as he was 3 years ago. Then there’s Verratti. Whoever plays in that position is nowhere near Varratti in 2021. Faglioi is good and has tremendous potential. Is he there yet? No. Cristante? Forget about it. He shouldn’t even be on the national team. Who else is left that could play there? Next is Barella. Barella I’ll say yes. He was phenomenal in 2021 and he’s even better now. Next is Chiesa/Berardi. We don’t even have Berardi this time which is major blow. Chiesa also has not played that well in the past few years due to injuries/Allegri. I hope he turns up to this tournament and lights it up again. But Chiesa in 2021 vs now is not the same. Chiesa is coming to this tournament not in good form. Next: Scamacca vs Immobile. I love Scamacca and I think he is more talented than Immobile and can be lethal for us. But again, he’s unproven and atm, just potential for the national team. Immobile was not great at the last Euros but it was justified to bring him. Immobile was still out scoring everyone else in Europe. And while I love Scamacca and he ended the season tremendously, overall he has been very inconsistent so far. If it was immobile in 2021 v Scamacca now I guarantee you Immobile would be starting. He is not better talent wise but he showed at club level he can produce consistently and at least score sometimes for the national team. Scamacca still only has 1 goal in 16 caps. That said, I do think Scamacca will far supersede Immobile and I hope he can show how talented he is at this Euros. Finally there’s the right wing. Idk who is going to start but whoever it is, is not better than Insigne in 2021. There is no one on the team right now that will play on the right wing that is better than Insigne 2021. Then there’s the bench. You want me to keep going? Idk anyone who thinks this team is better than the previous one. But think whatever you want. All I care about is that Italy plays well and has a good run.
Antonio capisce di calcio.
Bravo! Forza Italia!!
Spalleti lately changing formation to back 3 is little confusing. I hope the flexibility of change in formation helps. Forza Italia.
Antonio had the correct formation and almost nailed the line up
I agree with Marco... Croatia and Italy Top 2 Teams...

The guy who predicted the 4-2-3-1 seems to be spot on given todays news. Both Barella and Fagoli are unlikely and a couple defensive swaps but he predicted 7/11 and likely wouldve had Barella if he wasnt out for the first game
For those disrespecting italy, keep it up, that's how they won everything, I love it
We would be lucky if we could get out of group stage😂
People tend to forget in last euros italy's goals came from the mids and also centrebacks not from bottle head belotti or bobble head immobile....we have more firepower with scamacca lopetigue and from behind chiesa and raspadori
Really looking forward to the Euros. I'll be supporting Italy, but if I'm honest I see a quarter final exit. I hope I'm surprised. I just don't want to see England win it haha
Very far fetch to win again this year especially with the injuries at the center back position. World Cup 2026 is actually what Spalletti targeting. Insteadof Veratti, Spinazzola, Belotti Florenzi, Locatelli, Pessina etc from the 2021 squad, he picks more up and coming players, such as Calafiori, Bellanova, Cambiaso, Fratessi, Fagioli etc. Will be glad if they reach the semi with the current squad in the Euro
Italy use 2 formation
Again weak teams 3-4-2-1 more offensive
Again strong teams
4-2-3-1 more compact and solid the defense and sometimes change in the second time to 3-4 formation if we need goals
You've literally got this backwards
This year with no Chiellini and Bonucci as leaders, they're gonna suck.
Nice job with the lineup. I loved it but jorginho over fagioli for sure and dilorenzo on the outside back. Not sure if caliafiori is ready to start either but I’d love him to get the experience.
I predicted Italy to win the Euro and Argentina to win the WC. I dont know why it was a surprise. Italy was in a record unbeaten streak leading to the Euro (32 games i think). Argentina was in a similar unbeaten run leading to the WC.
One point you didn't bring up last tournament is that Italy had to play without Spinnazola against Spain and England. If he was in completely different against Spain.
Last Euro game, Italy had Chielini who was great team leader. Do we have similar player now for this Euro?
I am an Italian living in Germany. For me would be enough if Italy beats Germany again and gets in the final. Than I can sing again like in 2006: "Berlin! Berlin! Wir fahren nach Berlin!" 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹 It would be top if the final would be Italy vs France
We perform better when we are under the radar like the last euros! We slowly build/ grow into the competition, if we get through the group if death we'll be pumped and will euro champions again and retain the cup!
Forza italia 2024...
Campioni de europa...
😊💪⚽️🏆🇮🇹
When Italy won it last time they were one of the favorites so that was no surprise
Absolutely disgusted by the DL hate. He is great. Pushed a garbage Napoli. Ran the most in serie a for a team who didn’t try. They forgot about when he completely destroyed serie an and he led them to a championship. Insane.
I'm a casual. I only watch international but Di Lorenzo and Barrella are my favorites this tournament going in
Looks like we're going with a 4-2-3-1 after all for Albania match!!
for Italy this tournament the trophy would be surviving the group. Forget about going to semis or something especially if we meet a big team after the group. I don't see us getting any points with Spain and Croatia. Against a team like France there is 0 chance. Italy at the moment has too much of a quality gap with the best European teams, just look at how cluelessly they lost twice to England in the qualifiers, and I also remember big defeats to Germany and Argentina not too long ago. Euro 2020 happened to come along in a period where everything aligned perfectly, and aside from France who went out in a freak game against Switzerland there was no great team around back then, England now also has a lot more quality than they had in 2020, Spain's team has improved a lot too, Portugal is always full of quality, Germany playing at home and has also been improving lately. Remember we missed the last two World Cups and struggled big time to qualify for this Euro, I hope I'm wrong but I don't see us going anywhere at all in this tournament. Also Spalletti is a good coach but he only achieved his first major victory as a coach with Napoli and immediately got the Italy job, whereas Mancini has a longer winning record as a coach.
It is also true that when Italy struggles it can become champion. It happened quite the same in 2006. Nobody bet on Italy and we made it. Never underestimate Italy. 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
@@fral.2708 but that team was full of stars. The current team lacks players that can win big games.
@@Casarzino That´s true but let´s see, maybe they will positively surprise us :). As the matter of fact I do not see any stars in the other teams as well (with the exception of Mbappe in France)
I feel the group of players is better than it's given credit for but it's being held back by dubious Spalletti choices. What happens next depends on his moves, and one does not exactly feel reassured when he praises the "blocco Inter" - Italy have almost never done well when Inter players made up the majority of the squad, e.g. 2002 and 2004.
I am in the same state of mind as I was in 2012 or 2016: expecting little but hoping to be surprised.
Was surprised no one has mentioned Locatelli missing..He had a great last euro and I've watched him this season with juventus and did what he always does. Consistency. Cristante I'm not sold on and spalletti chose him for we know those political reasons (coaching roma) Let's see what happens. Forza Azzurri.
Please don't let Jorginho take a penalty, put Donnarumma first🙏 I'm with you
We have a very good team, the best Coach with Spalletti and best Team Boss with Buffon. We will rock this shit
anto is 100% right calafiori must play
he's young, talented and will be a main stay of our line up for sure. I think 2026 might be a very world cup for us. we'll have a lot of U17 and U19 talent to pick from for those tournaments
Disrespecting the Roma players. Don’t worry we will carry you. If not our former youth team players will 😭
Where are all the people that said Albania would beat us?!? There only shot on goal was a stupid assist by Dimarco. We domintated the game, we just need to be more clinical in front of goal!
26:26 Holy shit Antonio is a genus
Those jerseys are way better than the Adidas ones. They have class and style.
will be lucky if they progress from groups
I don't think that the bald gentleman understands that when you play a 3-5-2, you're actually essentially playing with 5 defenders on the pitch. If you've ever played the game, you would understand it's actually easier to defend in that system.
You know, I wanna be optimistic but di marco made a few defensive errors against Serbia which could have easily been goals against. Football is a funny sport it just takes a moment for history to be against us.
I think Mike is wrong, if we get second we play second from group a I think
We will probably quit in the group stage. I see us drawing against Albania, beating Croatia and losing to Spain. Hopefully I'm wrong
We the best no matter what we are what we are the best
Dimarco is 1 of the best if not the best wing back!
Forza Italy from India
Honestly, I think Retegui and Scammaca are better than Belotti and Immobile. Jorginho and Barella are still in midfield with Fratesi, Pellegrini. The old guards in defence are gone but I don't think the new ones are any worse (definitely less experienced) but the quality is there. Overall, I would say that the level of the team is almost the same as 3 years ago, with no outstanding superstars. And please no more penalties for Jorginho. He already missed 3, it's enough! And the media was talking about Acerbi out of Euros. It's a great thing because it will give younger defenders the chance to gain experience at a major tournament. Acerbi ain't at the level of Bonucci and Chiellini and he Is already 36 this year!
Jorginho has actually missed 4 in a row for us 🤮🤮🤮🤮
@@Warriors49ers Yes you are right.
1 against England in the final.
Twice against Switzerland and once against Ukarine
Win or lose, forza Italy per sempre
I don’t think Mike was right if we come 2nd in the group. Pretty sure we play 2nd in group A (not 1st in group A).
I predicted Italy to win last time, their form made it an obvious choice, this year I’m just not feeling it
Still insane to me that milan don't have one player in the national team
The other one in the world to predict Italy champion in 2021 was Bobo Vieri 😊
I miss Bobo and Cassano on BoboTV, curious when they will be back?
Jorginho great leader on the pitch always talking and organising guys, come on now!
No women's cut t shirts?? And if they're selling quickly, esp given that Euros, Nations League, and World Cup tournaments are approaching, why will the shirts not be available ever again?
I didn't know that a regular football jersey cannot be worn by women :)
wrong, i predicted italy winning in 2021
lol he was right about Bastoni and Calafiori in 4 atb 😂, he was laughed at!
Antonio is goated for making the only correct predicted lineup. 200 football IQ
FORZA ITALIA 🇮🇹 🇮🇹 🇮🇹 🇮🇹 🇮🇹 ⚽️ 🏟 ⚽️ 🏟 ⚽️ 🏟 ⚽️
Italy is tough in Euro play, but so is Germany and Spain. I predict Germany to win the Euro. 🇩🇪🏆⚽
wish tonali was there
FORZA ITALIA 🟩⬜🟥 CUORE 💙 PER SEMPRE
Spain just like italy has always lacked a striker for over a decade now. That wont matter.
Strikers and scoring does not matter in these tournaments. Mark my words
We shall see, but we did win with Immobile as our starter lol scammacca is a huge upgrade
@@michelep9825 I use to have so much hope for ciro. Genuinely thought he was the next totti lol
Antonio needs an apology after the team sheet was released today. He had the formation and was only wrong about Fagioli and Cambiaso. Which he should’ve also probably been right about lol
Italy not being one of the favourites is perfect for them. In 2020 they were ranked 7th to win it. Let the other teams be the favourites. Good luck to all the 'favourites'.
we haven't been favourites for decades a this point. We were in 2002 if I remember correctly.
@@roccociccone597 going into 2006 Italy was not one of the favourites. Like I said, let other teams be the favourites. Happy with being the underdogs. Even though, I still don’t think Italy will win it. Spalletti had had little time with the squad.
No way this year, even yes you guys just jinxed it
you laughing at Antonio but he's probably the only one right on Calafiori and the formation : )
Italy 2-1 Albania
