Great video
Ok boomer
Thanks for watching :p
Another great hunt max bice to find the stg 44 rounds u can keep them if u drill a 2 or 3 mm hole in any rounds u can empty out the gun power from them. All best max too you an ya family stay safe from this virus thats hit the world. 👍👍😁
I guess I could do that, but the iron rounds are usually so brittle it's not worth keeping them anyway :X
Virus is a bummer especially with the travelling regulations, let's just hope for the best and stay strong!
I'd really love an original StG 44... So much $$$... Definitely looking forward to getting a fully functional replica.
Yes, the Stg is a beautiful gun. Hope to own a deactivated one at some point
Great video again man! 🤩
Best regards Daniel - ww2RevivalDenmark - UA-cam&Facebook
there was a car called Opel Super 6 ? maybe a badge not sure :)
You're a lifesaver!! Indeed an Opel car from the 30s, very nice :)
Definitely an Opel super 6 emblem.
wow,beautyful k98 rifles
10:56 maybe a sign from a opel super six. the wehrmacht had those also
*Top irmão, like Brasil 🇧🇷*
never get upset with finding horse shoe where the german army was as they uses a lot of horse to pull stuff with. they uses 2.75 million horses and mules during ww2
That bolt can be from VZ 24. Nice video👏👍
Thanks for the info and for watching!
The 6th Armored Division ("Super Sixth"[1]) was an armored division of the United States Army during World War II. It was formed with a cadre from the 2nd Armored Division.
it is possible that that helmet piece is from a M35 that is the only type that used that sort of ring through the hole. the second hole looks a little to small (that can be an optical illusion). i think it is an M35 but i am not sure
Yeah, a friend of mine also told me its probably from an M35. Why couldn't it be complete :p
3 k98 rifles this week.. business as usual 😂
Watch me find an MG hoard next time haha ;)
The K98 rifle cleaning kits were stored in the rifle butt. I'm not sure what wood they were made from, suspect due to the number of rifles made, probably cheap crap wood like Pine. The stocks will have rotted away over the years leaving the cleaning kit if it was in there, and the butt plate close together. Seeing peole finding the Sturmgwever '44, they so often seem to have the butt stock smashed off them. This act disabled the return spring and thus rendered the rile useless. Perhaps they did the same with the K98's in the clear up after the war.
good job again. im a little jalous haha
Haha cant blame ya, the finds have been good to me :)
And it indeed is a Opel Super Six plate! Didn't know until someone told me. Thanks for watching!
I am curious….. you mentioned having found rounds that still have parts of the MG ammunition belt on them. You stated that you have to re-bury the rounds. My question is, is there not a place that you are able to take them to have them disposed of properly? What is the policy and customs on this? It’s fascinating how many relics you are finding and it has to be both exciting and humbling.
Hey there, here your are not allowed to transport dangerous stuff like that at all. You can call the bomb squad, but honestly, i find ammunition every time I go out, so it doesnt really make sense. Just reburying deeper is the best way.
Thanks for watching
Have u ever thought about clean the rifle with electrolysis an think u can still buy the wood for them and tryin to put one back in the wood thats what i would do be cool display piece 😁👍
Could you please not say something so cool, yet probably so expensive that I want it but cant affort it?
Yes Paul I thought of that! Original stocks aren't too expensive, wanted to do that for a long time. Only thing holding me back are the german gun laws, cant keep the rifles just like that. Until the laws are getting a bit looser I wont be able to keep them. They will stay in the woods, buried where i found them :)
Oh no that is a shame seem silly when guns like that will never work again it just for display. And yeah didnt think about that on the iron rounds. We can keep gun here in uk but they have to be disarmed an have papers to say so i am try to get a 1916 lee enfield 303 off a old guy i do some building work for 😁👍
I’m trying to put myself in post war Europe. I’m guessing EVERYONE was so sick of war that battle littered woods and roads full of completely fine field gear and fully operational weapons was just uninteresting junk that no one really had the foresight to pick up or save. It was all just a negative reminder of the mess you’ve witnessed for years ? THIS to me is a strange but understandable concept....can you imagine this scenario in modern times? Can you you imagine as a civilian , walking past a road filled with discarded weapons and bodies of soldiers..and not giving a shit? ....my god!
Luckily there where no bodies of soldiers in the areas I'm searching in, but surely so much military gear, vehicles, dead horses... it was just the downfall and Abyss of the Third Reich in those last days. Many witnesses described those areas in reports and said they "scavenged for useful stuff", not minding guns and whatnot, the times where dire and the future uncertain. That to me alone makes ww2 detecting such a surreal experience! Just these forgotten artifacts on the surface resting there since 1945...
Do you think, someday, you are going to look for pre-ww2 stuff as well? Like medieval and modern age coins, buttons and buckles of everyday life. In Germany you have a lot of history and interesting targets to dig out of the ground
Thats true and that was my initial intention. But there is just so much WW2 History around here which fascinates me! Maybe someday when im done with most of my spots i´ll give WW1 a try or just pre-ww2 in general!
Thanks for watching :)
Bolt could also be from a vz24
Oh I see, looks like it a lot!
Super 6 was an American tank division
But this plate is from an Opel Super six.
Hello I have just found your channel just enquire what happens to all the ammunition you find.
Mostly re buried in one very deep hole if its just normal cartridges.
Ive got 3 like new Mosin rifles in my collection!! Not my favorite to shoot. Roughly made by slaves.
I'm so jealous of Americas gun laws... would love to own and shoot any historical gun. That dream will probably never come true :/
14:20 german mg151/15mm
A horse shoe, Supply or Calvary 🤔
I know this may sound nuts, but maybe someone knows this: Could you safely and legally dearm a live round? Most of them are in bad condition, but sometimes in these videos I see some with conditions that I think it's a waste to not take them home.
Safely? Maybe. Legally? What do you think, of course not, not in germany xD
And I agree, especially some cartridges buried in deep sandy ground sometimes even have original brass colouring on them.
@@MetalMaxWW2 Just because it's Germany, does not mean it's impossible. I do (legally) own dearmed rounds, but they are all post 2000.
The big problem would probably only be the transport, since this is the hardest part to do legally, iirc.
The dearming process is already illegal as far as I know... and yeah, transporting as well. In theory it's not even allowed to take them to the police...
Yeah they smashed the K98s against the trees so the buttstock with broken pieces on it fly away and thats most of the time why u get buttstocks
It's nice to find them without broken pieces, but just that attaches a story to them and makes it feel even more personal... love every single one of them, thanks for watching! (PS: Cant own the Rifles unfortenately due to laws)
@@MetalMaxWW2 yeah its cool, it gives a story to it. I would love to find K98 parts haha💪🏻
Congrats with ur new record of k98 in one video 😁 they keep coming always Nice to see one found
At 8:05 looks like a smashed luftschutz gasmask filter

Wel hope to see a new video soon and good luck digging
Oh yes indeed VGM Filter.
Let's hope some more variety in guns soon, still looking for Stg, Mp or MG :p
Yes that would be Awsome
I hope to find a pistol once
Can you keep any of the guns or ammunition ?
No sadly not
*Ich bin ein schlaf-Schaf*
Ok
@@MetalMaxWW2 do you know 'Phil Laude' ?
Schlaf-Schaf is a comment to write under the first video you watch after watching his...
Don't take it too seriously :)
Das bei 8:12 Minuten müsste ein Volksgasmaskenfilter sein.
Jo da haste recht, ist mir jetzt auch aufgefallen ;)
See photo focus just before headlamp. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3d/Opel_Super_6_BW_3.JPG
Super 6
Yes, thats super cool! Wonder how it got there :0
What about quarantine?
What about it? It sucks haha
@@MetalMaxWW2ahahaha i mean... Did you go metal detecting anyway?
Well yes? It's not forbidden to leave the house here. Only not allowed to meet people
@@MetalMaxWW2 well so... Lucky you!! I didn't know that.. I live in Italy unfortunately and i still can't go out, even metal detecting
Super Sixth:
The story of Patton's 6th Armored Division in WW II
de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opel_Super_6 i'm sure or 1000% it's this one and not patton's division ;)
Are you German you have an German accent
Yes I am :)
The ABCs of Salvation, or how to be right with God, and know you're going to Heaven:
A-dmit that you're a sinner, and need a Savior.
As it is written: There is none righteous, no, not one. Romans 3:10
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23
B-elieve that Jesus Christ died paying the penalty for your sins, and rose from the grave.
He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross. 1 Peter 2:24
For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures... 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
C-all on the Lord Jesus Christ to save you, and trust only in Him for your salvation.
If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13
The moment you "believe," or, put your trust in what Jesus has done for you, God saves you and your eternal destiny in Heaven is assured. You go from spiritual death to eternal life the moment you believe.
Jesus said it this way: Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. John 5:24😀
What is this comment supposed to convey? I'm not even religious
@@MetalMaxWW2 It's a simple message how anyone can be right with God and know they're going to Heaven. Not by being religious, or belonging to a church or denomination, but through personal faith in Christ and His perfect sacrifice for the sins of the entire world.
Also thanks for your videos! I have watched several and plan to watch more. I spent 7 years stationed at Ramstein, 1986-93, and loved my time there. I also love history, especially of WWII.
