- GETTING OUR CUSTOM SIDECAR BUILT FOR OUR TRIKE : ANGELES CITY, PHILIPPINES
Today I sealed the deal with the builder who is custom building our sidecar for our trike. Also a little tour around the shop that is building the sidecar. It's amazing to see how they build these sidecars in the Philippines.

Can't wait to see the completed trike.bunch of trikes for sure. great vlog Nice
Hope you get many years of enjoyment out of it and videos of touring Brian!
I'd love to have one of these custom-made trikes. I visited the P.I. twice while serving in the USAF during June 1985 and again in May 1986. Had a wonderful time during both trips. The self-learned skills of the Filipino people have always amazed me. The American tradesmen are too shackled by Government regulations, OSHA, and EPA to even attempt a small shop like this one in the States. Oh well, I can't wait to see the finished bike!
A very nice vlog. Cant wait to see your new Tric. 😀
Hello BRIAN , thanks for showing us the build and progress of your sidecar. The Philipino people are so talented, they can make and fix anything. When I was there, we would show a tailor or shoemaker a picture of something we wanted in a magazine, and they would make it for us. Wonderful people. It was Interesting to see trike line. It is always a pleasure to watch ur VLOGS, and everyday life in Philippines. Thanks again for sharing. Hello to Lot and HANNA GRACE, stay safe.
V very nice. Put lights inside the cab to make it beautiful too. Thanks for the Vedio today and God bless you and your family 🙏🙏
Hey Brian, that custom sidecart looks nice. I'm just counting down the days until I get to the Philippines permanently.
You will be the envy of the hood! LOL....looks really cool.
Brian, coil spring. I had them put 2 on mine and it rides super smooth and doesn't bottom out like most on bumpy roads.
Mine is 40 x 42 and seats 2 large Canos lol .
Enjoy.
Tc
Leaf springs give harsher ride but carry weight better. Coil springs give better ride but not so much for carrying heavy weights.
Brian says leaf spring....lol....it a coil spring Brian....lol
I’m amazed at all the different styles and set ups on the trikes. I’ve never really paid attention until your vid. Really enjoyed it and can’t wait to see the progress on your trike. Excellent video 👍👍
Sidecar looks like a carnival ride.
Looking forward to seeing the finished product Brian !!! Good luck lad !!!
Mr. Philly
This is a great video ...I appreciate the "everyday", "taking care of business" nature of this video.
Thank you so much, I like this type information as it mentally prepares me for my own plans to move
to the Philippine in the future.
Thanks Again.
Thanks for the walk and talk Brian. Now I cant wait to see how it all looks when it done.
Yeah that’s cool how some of those guys trick those bikes out. Thanks for the video
Nice video ive always wanted to see how they are built!
nice 1 m8, stay safe, warm an well eh!
Go all out...Pimp it out radio speakers led lights and of course neons that flash with the music.. try and video the build and edit it to one video.. love to see how they attach and balance them
Congratulations Brian!
Interesting how they are built. Yours should look cool when completed too! Great video thank you.
It will be a good ride .
Hey guy, did you ever see the tricycles in Batangas City?
I live in Batangas City. The tricycles here comes with the extended back end strong and big enough to carry and refrigerator or washing machine
Salute. A childhood friend of mine lives in Batangas. Retired military. Stay safe over there. ✌🏾
After your last video about the side car, I looked them up again for here in the States. I quickly remembered why I haven't gotten one to let my dogs come along on the bike sometimes...Cheapest was $3,000 plus, up to over 6 grand!!! For a simple sidecar, yeah, I don't think so either. If I could do what those guys do in the Phils I would make my own sidecar for the dogs. Another nice video, Brian.
Great picture quality and subject matter.."tie a yellow ribbon around the old oat tree."
Always amazing to see the talent and skills of the Filipino. Hand made is pretty much a lost art here in the States. I loved it when the owner showed up. As you walked towards the drill press he couldn't want to tell you the man your there to see has arrived, ha ha ha. Almost as he was saying please I'm working. ha ha ha ha Thinking maybe advertise your UA-cam channels on the back of the trike..... Silly idea, I'm full of them, make a hatch on the back of the trike that flips down and the seat folds forward turning the side car into a semi flat bed to haul things, Yea I know great at spending other peoples money, The mind of a dreamer here. Kind of like the seat in a Chevy avalanche. Extends the hauling area of the truck bed.
Brian just a tip , Ive been in many trikes, only in mindanao and other southern areas do they know how to build a trike right. Make shure yours is taller than the crap they build in luzon, Theres nothing worse than riding in a short roof trike banging your head on the roof , Build your bike canopy and the sidecar up for a 6' person and youll be good. Also make shure the windshield in the sidecar goes all the way up to the roof , most of the ones they build they put the windshield for a 4 or 5 foot person. Trust me if you have to haul friends they will like you for it..
hey u clown i live in pangasinan and my garong was built here and my new sidecar too and they are just lovely
@@joehellmer4570 I live in zambales and maybee you built yours right, But 90% of the the luzon trikes are too short for a grown man. The other problem is i have to lean down to look out of the windshield in most. Brian found a good one at 15:00 minutes
Nice video Brian. Love the everyday walk around.
Very good video. Brian. 👍👍👍👍
There is a valid reason why the cars are short in height in PI. It is so the rider of the trike can look to their right over the top of the canopy. Taller canopies block the rider's view especially when its raining. Its Grab only for me.
All have side mirrors attached to the front right part of the sidecar.Does the job but then again most drivers don’t check before changing lanes.
I'm excited to see your sidecar done as you are!
Hi Sir Brian, Happy to have see your new video as usual. I hope all's good with your plan for new Sidecar for your new business.
Very Cool video... Love following your adventure... I wonder why they always put stickers on the front windows...
Looking forward to see it finished....sounds like you are hyped yourself! :)
Looks like you got some good ideas for your trik from the ones parked on the trike line... side mirror on the passenger side sure is gonna come in handy to keep an eye on that side when getting out of the rider's side... especially since the trikes seem to love to pass on the right... can't wait to see the finished trike...
Cool video thanks!
If y'all wanna see a weird sidecar take a stroll up towards Dau, keep to the right side of the road, just about opposite the non functioning Asean Games countdown clock thingie there's about 4 or 5 different banks all huddled together with parking in front; there's a short middle aged Pinoy who waits for customers there with an old black motorbike which he's tried to make look like a BMW....lately he installed a new sidecar which essentially looks like a small hearse!!!! He's an enterprising chap, not only does he carry passengers in the "hearse" but he also runs a mini sari sari store from it as well!
Is that near the Commerce Bank. I can park at the new gasoline station
Kumusta, Brian. The sidecar's looking rad so far. Just throw some Turtle Wax on that bad boy when it's done, and it'll be crusin' like Roxas Boulevard. Thanks for the walk-around and stay safe
Good job sir god bless
Sidecars in Bacolod, front/back passenger seats. 5 adults or 8 children!
The trikes in Palawan (Porto Princessa) are totally different again. The front of the sidecar is extended across the front of the bike and they graft on a car grille!
I know it's a bit late to say this, but have you checked the old sidecar for cracked welds? That may be why it had the wobbles. Some cracks are hard to see. Or maybe the suspension coil spring is cracked/shifted.
I had Thomas the tank engine trike built kids love to see it whizzing around
I hope you choose a real windshield using glass instead of a piece of metal that hide the front view of the passagers. Only in Angeles they do that never saw this in other cities.
Window is common among sidecars.
Hope the new sidecar works out! Noticed that famous STOP sign again....and again...no one stopping at it! Lol.
I’m just glad people are working.
What amazed me when I first arrived were the men who were sleeping in their trikes. They do work hard & live hard.
Just bough a new Honda n had it all customized. Private Trike for us. Good luck my brother. Sige Na
I put a police horn on my bike sounds cool woop woop. Got it for P300 from one of those bike stores across from your store.
Really cool. Infatuation...you are just doing the proper research to get it done right. Oh tie a yellow ribbon around the old oak tree, if you...thanks, now that song is stuck in my head.
been to cebu a few times and been to manilla , i like the filipines though im allso glad to be back home after spending 3 weeks there
never been to patayan and angeles , somehow i was under the impression there a little less honest there
11:05....the famous Nobody Stops Stop Sign!
@ 11:11 that bike "kinda" stopped 🤣
I have to say, I cant stop
imagine to have, an UTV. 4 seats there.
I'm in Illinois your so lucky my wife is philipina been married 9 years i wish I was there when the virus happened i hate it here
Im a Tricycle maker too,
But Im here in Visayas,
Luzon tricycles are very different from tricycles here.
The shop is pretty cool. Curious why I’ve never seen anyone build these is the USA. I wonder if they would be legal. I would sure love to have one built for a motorcycle stateside.
Agreed, I looked up sidecar rules in Virginia and they’re very brief. Would love to import the sidecar and mount to US Honda.
@@thompsongagenate i think ill check into importation costs when my wife goes to see her family next year. 35,000 PHP is just $700 US (@50 php to $1 us), so $1000 us for shipping and import tax is 1/2 the cost of commercial unit here in USA..
@@steffybael1245 do you know of a company making them in the US?
No one really goes over 45 or 50 mph in the Philippines. Don’t know if a Trike can stay together at 70-80mph and the motorcycles are only one cylinder in the Philippines.
I'm not sure if I'm right....I guess that's the "callesa" type sidecar...here in the metro....most of the sidecars are "Diamond" type....steel top sidecar....and there's a lot of different type of sidecars in the provinces....more steel and metal sheet more expensive....
I love your content, I'm a Filipino and we live next to Angeles we are from Lubao. this might be off topic, but would you mind if I ask what type of Camera you are using? i admire the clarity of the resolution. thank you in advance.
I use a go pro 10
That bending contraption looks familiar. I did electrical work for a couple of years and had to bend conduit with a similar device. Ha-ha!
A Small sidecar would be so much more nimble, & easier to park in small area.
Nice design how much does it cost?
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Brian you've just passby the famous Stop singed😂
Glad you are able to build your sidecart a bit higher for your size Brian lol. For normal Filipinos, 3 or 4 or more if kids are inside. Crazy but reality. BTW, is it me or did you lose audio a bit at the end?
Dam in the top 5🤯
That camera gets a really good video
Nice, what's the latest on the Demon Car?
Hello sir ...a blessed morning to you there or afternoon I don't know but anyway we are here living in Texas ...my husband has a question for you I hope. You had a time to read my message cause he wanted to know how did you find out to live in Philippines ? God bless and thank you Soo much we really appreciate it .... To read this message .. ... My husband love motorcycle too 😄
need to pimp my bike out like that, add a sidecar,...then on the way attend the oscars/academy awards at the kodak theater in one instead of a limo! 🤣
Did you get the front end fixed on trike yet
Very cool.
I miss traveling so much. I can't wait for the Philippines and the rest of Southeast Asia to open back up. I just finished my first travel video from 10 years of traveling. Can I post here?
👣
LOL as long as the glasses are dark enough that welder will be ok as for the sun burn hes giving himself thats another matter, yes i'm a former welder myself. But its nice to see how they make them.
Now most welders in the Philippines look through the camera on their phone instead of using any type of mask or Shield.
With so many trikes lined up in a queue, how does the system actually work for the drivers. A driver in the middle or towards the back could possibly be waiting for hours before getting a customer at that location. Or, can a customer just select any driver they wish? Please explain. Thanks.
Its raining kind day hard here na. I will go out and take a picture or two when the rain stops
Hi Brian, we bought a Baja RE late last year and want doors added. Does your guy there work on other three wheelers?
I want to build one now.
So the normal process is to buy the bike then have it modded into a trike? I always figured it was standard to buy them as one.
Real Filipinos are resourceful, intelligent, hardworking, & honest people. I’m very proud of my country men
You may have answered this question already but are you planing on putting your UA-cam channel name and logo on it, and if so are you going to add Lot Lots as well??
Barriers are still there cos there's a curfew. Depending were you are as for us caloocan city 10 pm to 5 am as for side car yes wouldn't mind me self but we have a narrow entrance to our house so no were to park it without been distroyed next day by kids in street
do you know the from pampanga too? who do customise trike and he built a T-REX
I am getting one of these instead of those factory tri wheel ers, those are all problems from parts to repairs
My fiance lives in CDO and has a sari sari store, also. We have a Yamaha with a side car it has leaf springs and shocks. To haul heavy loads
Hi Brian
I would like a detachable motorbike sidecar where I can put it on and take off, Also I don't know has Lto got A category of attachable detachable sidecar???
Can't wait to see the finished product. Will the trike have an ad for Lot's store? Thank you for the walkabout. Stay safe from the CHIMMP.
Do they (sidecars) have to pass any safety inspection or certification before installing? 🤔
I have had 2 side cars made in Angeles City, each time I have waited exactly 8 hours for them, we show up when they open 9-10am, tell them what I want....ask/tell them I need it before they close, can they do it? If they say yes they got the job. When the cash comes out, they always say YES !!!
Im guessing his price for the trike is high because it includes the business permit..
Saan po location ng shop nyo sa angeles pampanga po?
👍👍👍👌
What’s up philly , what’s lots channel?
With that head room you could ride in the sidecar while your wife drives you around for a change. In the province they 3 inside, 2 hanging on the back, 1 one the roof & 1 or 2 behind the driver.
What bike you got Brian?
Salad! Salad! 5, 10, 15, 20!! Salad! Salad! 5, 10, 15, 20!!
Baaa.. luuut.... Baaa.. luuut....!!!
Thanks for a day in Angeles City!!!
I about crapped when I saw the welds on that chassis with that big pitch. BAD welds!.
Greetings Nice video you didn’t tell us how much it would cost you ?
How much the price?
Actually I’m looking for the second hand if you know to buy cheaper. Thanks
Can they make bigger ones because the other ones I seen are to small
I think you’ll turn Mad Max into a trike 😂
brain you walked by the favms... stop sign and you didnt say any thing hahahahaha
You live near to the PRA on the main street inside the hotel next to the BPI Bank.
(Note not the BPI Bank near to the Robertson Mall)
You do a lot of walkabouts by the hotel all the time.
Is the PRA open?
Philippine Retirement Agency
My friend from Dau lives na in San Fernando and can not get there. Im in Batangas City. We are still on EGQ Lockdown.
The website like the immigration website is no help. I watch all your blog so just add it to your walkabout blog preciate it.
