  • Just a quick video showing, and explaining the function of 4 different loaded chamber indicators. I really don't have a favorite, because I still press-check most firearms when I load them.

Don’t the M&P extractors in side pop out when loaded for physical checking of chamber?

Not noticeably. The extractor already protrudes, the addition of a round makes it protrude a tiny, and I mean a tiny!, bit more. It's definitely not something I would trust in the dark.
I tried it with snap caps with a blindfold, and couldn't ID the loaded chamber vs not. You definitely can on the M9/92, because it's designed to work that way.
The bar style on my 5 inch SW MP works perfectly fine in the dark.

"The point of a loaded chamber indicator is to indicate whether a chamber is loaded or not...". I mean... Wow!

I am curious if the bar type indicators are visible while looking down the sights. The Canik Meta I am considering buying has one and I can't even find a picture of the indicator in the loaded position. Seems like it would be visible while sighting the pistol.

None of mine are visible while actually aiming down the sights. If you shift your gaze a little, you can see the one on my SW 2.0, but it's not really visible or distracting while aiming down the sights.
Canik makes some surprisingly good pistols, I've done a video on one of them.

The way you have your fingers all over that trigger and guard once you've loaded it is scary . That was all I was looking at once you loaded it. Just waiting for it to go off!! If you are a "Firearms Instructor" , which I don't think anyone believes, judging by the hateful comments, then you should know to "Always Point The Weapon at a safe direction!" . Loaded Or Not! Not at your neighbors like you're doing. YOU ARE DANGEROUS!! You should take some lessons and learn how to be safe with a handgun. Because you're gonna end up shooting somebody.

Just rewatched the video to see what you were talking about.
At NO point in time did I put my finger inside the trigger guard of a loaded firearm.
I 100 percent am a firearms instructor, on small arms and crew served weapons.
Me holding the firearm with my left hand, with my hand wrapped around the trigger guard is in no way unsafe, that's the same way your holster wraps around the trigger guard.
As always I appreciate the feedback, but you are incorrect about every one of your points.

That information is incorrect Smith & Wesson every single pistol no matter what brand or model has an extractor when there is one in the chamber the extractor is pushed out on the side you slide your finger in the dark can feel it so bad indicator on top of the slide or hole on the top of the slide is nothing more than a gimmick

While it is true that the extractor moves a tiny bit, it isn't as clear as one's like the Beretta.
I don't see the other two styles of loaded chamber indicators as gimmicks.

appreciate the info on the different types but you should seriously consider using snap caps when using your firearms in a demonstration like this

I normally do, couldn't find them at that moment. Had a bullet proof vest taped to the wall.
      But you are right.

Yes there is a way to see if there's one in the chamber on every gun if there is a round in the chamber the extractor sticks out on the side it would be impossible not to even the one with the hole in it that would be the Smith & Wesson that does that this is like a song-and-dance dog and pony show nickel-dime circus act you have to be kidding oh that's right you're the Press check expert😂😂😂😂😂😂
