It's just a band, dude, i'm pretty sure Jesus - a cool and forgiving dude if i'm not mistaken - would not cast a bunch of teenage headbangers into hell just for a badass record with edgy aesthetics and lyrics....
The animocity these bands have towards Christianity is a direct result of protestant behavior over the course of the 2nd millennium. (Protestant is broadly defined as those who protested the Apostolic Orthodox Catholic Church, ie post-schism of 1054) Most of these bands' criticisms are correct. Protestants have proven themselves to be the most insufferable, pompous, hypocritical, and wicked bastards in the world with very few exceptions. Any movement toward Truth is a movement away from sin and should be celebrated. Paradoxically, these kinds of death metal bands are more Christian than so-called Christian Rock bands. They see a false teaching and they call it out, just like Jesus did. Are they perfect? No. But none of us are.
