you can see, that he actually is doing a kind of riding! he loses his stapedes but his knees are so close to the horse that he can manage it without falling down. and his hands are not that bad aswell!
@Aliyification No, the horse didn't bolt and try to get the rider off, because as you say, the horse 'knows it's job'. It has got it's ears back almost the whole time. Yes people learn to jump by jumping... over tiny little cross poles. I really do not care how much you disagree with me, this is my opinion and looking at the other comments, most of other people's opinions as well. So why are you only arguing with me?
@Aliyification- im not saying that not everyone makes a mistake while jumping or messes up... and yea i jump horses idk ALL the time, i ride all different horses almost every week.. and i get ur point but i also see everyone else's. but how can a horse to be that tolerant and eventually not get ruined? i've seen it happen to horses and eventually they ruined, no matter how tolerant they r. and ik he's not hurt on purpose but the point it he's still being hurt.
@Aliyification Just 'cause the "hurt isn't on purpose" doesn't make it any less wrong. Once or twice, yes, things happen, people land hard on the horse's back or yank their mouths by mistake. This guy did it over EVERY SINGLE JUMP. It's like sticking a person in a boxing ring with no training; but someone else takes all the hits aimed at you. Even regardless of how much it hurt the horse, it's just plain disrespectful, rude, and unfair to him.
He's not a polo player. His name is Victor Goncalves. He just has tons of money and decided to get into jumping because he could. Rumor is he is a top ranked polo rider that "switched jobs" with a jumper. There's a list of top polo players in the world online. He's not on it. Also, the rider is Portuguese. There are no top ranked polo players from Portugal. In fact, there are only 4 low ranked polo players in Portugal. Just needed to defend a sport that's getting an unnecessary bad wrap.
cont'd...the horse said NO because he knew it would hurt like hell when that brute came crashing down on his back. first, a horse should only cary 20% of it's body weight. 2nd, how would you feel if 20% of your body weight slammed on your back over, and over again. show officials should have DQ'd him after the second fence.
@Aliyification- haha true. and u did mention my riding. u said, "This guy had the balls to get on a horse he doesn't know and jump for maybe his first time, could you do that?". so i answered with yea i do that all the time.. and yea this is pretty funny to watch, i couldn't stop laughing haha! true he's trying i give him credit for that, but it is a little rough to the horse even tho its not on purpose.. this horse is pretty tolerant to deal with someone who's never jumped before.
@Aliyification- ik that u learn to jump by getting on and jumping, but when everyone starts over a small 12" cross rail, u don't start with a 3' jumper course, that's just wrong.. even though he may be a good polo player it doesn't mean he should learn jumping by getting on a horse, getting wayyy ahead over the jump, almost falling every time, and yanking the horses mouth.. it's just not right...
I'm not the sort to ever call anyone a bad rider as generally people who aren't very good are just learning, but this?? Why the hell is he allowed to jump any kind of course when he clearly had no idea what he is doing? Seriously needs to go back to basics and learn to jump... This is pathetic, he should have been eliminated after they saw the first few jumps to save the horse the pain! Very honest horse, a lot of horses would just buck him off.
Why is he even jumping that high he shoud go back to trotting ground poles or maybe even walking over them and I'm pretty sure anybody who rides remembers when they probably fell off or their horse stopped or whatever happened JUST BECAUSE THEIR HEELS WERE NOT DOWN. I have fallen off once for that and that was the last time he's lucky his horse didn't refuse all the jumps!
@Aliyification In that case this is disgusting. Why would anyone let someone who doesn't know how to jump do this? If he doesn't know how to jump, he should no way be attempting to jump a course of any height.
ALDR ,the human's ok to ride not at all, and then verkloppt 's horse -.- -.- poor animal does not include those people on horses, which would equal to' get ne penalty -.- -.- this is animal cruelty
@Aliyification Funny to see someone slamming down on a horse's back and yanking on their mouth over every jump? Nice logic. I never said he was a bad rider, I just said he doesn't know what he's doing when it comes to jumping. Sure, he may be amazing at polo, but it just isn't fair on the horse to do this. I would never stick someone who didn't know how to jump on my horse and make them do a course.
gosh if that is a style of driving, there is simply no style! poor horse that horse! and then of the store that still goes too far, I have that horse, I would have stopped long ago!
@Aliyification- look at this through everyone else's point to, don't be so full headed. maybe if u lighten up a bit u wouldn't get so pissed off easily..
All I have to say is this horse is a SAINT!!!!!
cavalo lindo!
he is ruining this poor, very honest horse
Poor horse...
well the horse did a good job...
Jesus Christ, what a tolerant horse. That rider is worse than me on the jump, which I didn't think possible!!!
you can see, that he actually is doing a kind of riding! he loses his stapedes but his knees are so close to the horse that he can manage it without falling down. and his hands are not that bad aswell!

vilken plåga för hästen :O
@crosscountryjump4eva
It wasn't random.
He did it to get the horse moving, which happened.
But yeah, he's still a terrible rider:)

this guy sucks, the horse is way too nice to him
