size depends mostly on the boat size. becouse say a 50-200 meter deep and 500-2000 meter long both take space and is HEAVY. IN norway we use seine mostly for herring, mackerel, coalfish, and sardines The last boat i workd on was 78 feet long and had a 1000 meter long and 90 meter deep coalfish seine, But the herring-sardine seine was smaller in size , but took up more space becouse the net had smaller holes in the net so that sardines, herring couldnt swim thru the net.. it was 760 meter long and 60 meter deep.
