It does look a good deal @ Adorama and we know you want the lens as well. Look at it as being several $100 ahead. Even more with a crafty mk1 trade in😊............My advice: Find a pub near an Adorama with some plastic fantastic in a pocket, sink several cold ones. I'm sure between you and Mr. Beer the correct decision will happen😂 Some very pleasing pics, btw.
My two cents: Yes, the G9 mk2 with the 9mm 1.7 for 1800$ is a phenomenal deal! If your G9 was lost or stolen. Don't let GAS influence you! Wait a couple of years, the price will drop even more. I five years or so, you will be able to buy a nice one used for 500$. I am in like with my G9. BUT... I have found that the files have more processing corrections needed compared to my Olympus EPL-1 with the Lumix 20mm 1.7. My Pana-Leica lenses focus poorly on the EPL-1, something about the older electronics does not sync well with the newer tech lenses from Pana-Leica. I use Raw Therapee 5.10. Tried the Silky Pix Developer Studio11, which is quite good except the noise reduction is better in RT5.10. In my experience, the 20MP Raw files processed with RT5.10 seem to compete favorably with the 80MP raw files processed with SPDS11. So far I have not had much success with the HiRes raw files in RT5.10. Probably me. I rarely pick up my a7r2 anymore, that is due to owning the G9.
@@HamiltonSRink thanks, yeah that GAS can get you. It was the FREE Leica 9mm f1.7 that got me! Lol. I’m usually pretty good at avoiding thar, but a Free Leica!!! 😎🤣
@@danielmartinphotography I did buy a 9mm 1.7 myself. Very high quality glass I must say. I don't use it that much only because I shoot with the 12-60 2.8-4.0 Pana Leica 99.9% of the time. The P L 15mm 1.7 is in my bag too; the zoom just works! All of my glass I buy used, except for the 9mm, which I paid full price for. So 1800$ for a G9Mk2 and a P L 9mm1.7 tells me the G9 is so good, few owners care about good/better AF in video.
Yeah audio was reduced really far. I usually record on Lumix G9. For this video I used the Canon R6. The DJi mic 2 has settings fro each camera, but it sounds terrible on the Canon r6! Sorry about that. I will resume the Lumix G9 ASAP!! Thanks for watching! I adjusted it 9 ways to Sunday, with no luck! lol
@@danielmartinphotography Interesting - I have a 5DIII and don’t use it for audio duties but I recall Canon cameras traditionally have reputedly had poor amplifiers (while LUMIX is among the best). Is the R6II continuing that weakness or is it wholly unrelated?
@@Democratiser It seems to be a continuing problem! However, I can't say for 100% sure. Problem could still be me. Lumix does sound great for me while the Canon not so much. Thanks, I'll dig deeper into this, and now that I know that info I might already have my answer! Thanks for watching (And helping)!
Good video
Glad you enjoyed

Thanks for the video.
The G9II with the 9mm seems like a good deal!
PS - Your audio is clipping. Might want to reduce the gain.
Cheers.
