Hi, I always look at your videos but never see what you are putting down to remove the polish. I have a laminate floor and have put 2 coats of the Bona polish on for the last 6 years. What is the solution you are using to remove polish? And should I use a red or green pad since it is a laminate floor? Thank you

Mine too! Trying to figure out how to get the residue off! The bottle says you don’t have to rinse the floors but the people who installed my floors told me I should have been rinsing. Now I’m left with smudgy floors!
Let me give you a better, very educated answer. It depends on the floor you have and you need to research that. For example, in my home I have engineered hardwood floors which are not the same as hardwood floors, as hardwood is more expensive and can be sanded down and restained and engineered cannot be, or really shouldn't be. Bona hardwood floor cleaner is water-based. They also have a polish, but let's just focus on the cleaner for now. The finish on my floors is an Aluminum Oxide finish and that finish is actually water-based. So Bona would work perfectly on my floor. MOST engineered hardwood floors are finished with a water-based (Aluminum Oxide) urethane finish. Now, some aren't and, well many humans seem to think spending thousands of dollars on buying new flooring for their home isn't an investment worth knowing about. They think you care for them by using whatever is in the stores, bona, swiffer, o-cedar, etc. Wrong. You need to know the finish of your floors. Oil and water, as you should know, don't mix. So, if your floor is hardwood (not engineered) highly likely it might be finished with an oil based coating, but not necessarily. So bottom line, figure out the manufacturer for your floors, if you even know the line and model no. for your floors, then even better you can go on their website and double check. If your floor has an oil based finish, you can use oil based detergents to clean it, water based finish, use water based. The reason for the residue is because some dimwits have an oil based finish floor and are putting on bona which is water based. It's really just that simple. 🤦🏼♀️ P.S. (that you never asked for) Bought my 1st home last year, have engineered hardwood installed, read up, called the manufacturer of the floors and went about wanting to ensure I care for my investment.
Yes Red is for scrubbing, green pads are even more aggressive, white are for buffing but can be used for light cleaning. There are other pads such as black which are used to remove wax from VTC floors.

It looks like you started with the white pad and not the red, is that so? Is the red pad more abrasive?
