Pls understand that there are different versions of mahabharata written. Most of us know mahabharata in arjuna, krishna view. But there are many versions of mahabharata in bhima and also duryodhana perspective. In kannada famous poet ranna has composed gadayaddha in duryodhana perspective. If we understand both the view points then only we can enjoy true essence of mahabharata.
In actual war the battle took place for hours.Duryodhana had a greater technique but Bhima had a more strength.Even Duryodhana had his mother's kavach.Duryodhana after hiting Bhima's head still he survived.At the next instance Duryodhana tried to kill him by hiting on head.So jumped high to hit his head fearcely.Bhima at that moment hit at the legs and broke it.
No mother Kavach.Not mentioned in real text.This is made by serials.As per real Mahavarat, Duryodhana upper body made by Lord Shiva and that was strong as Vajra and lower body made by Mara adisakti and for that reason that part was weak.Read real texts.
No becoz gandhari never gave body of vajra to duryodhan its fake story actually when pandav were on vanvaas duyodhan practised very hard to beat bhim thats why his upper body became very strong

Actually according to Bori CE, Duryodhana did overpower Bhima and made him unconscious. But I also feel that they exaggerated it in this movie to the point that Bhima didn't land a single hit on Duryodhana.

@Mohammed Sultan Duryodhana could not have been defeated fairly because the previous night to the fight, he got a boon from his mother to make his entire body (except his inner thighs and groin area) like a Diamond, which itself is unfair. Moreover, you are only looking at the fairness/unfairness of fights. If you look at the bigger picture, then as per righteousness, Pandavas had to win, irrespective of who is weak or strong, which Krishna facilitated.

An example of how good they were is seen when the war ended and Yudhishtir cursed his own mother for hiding the fact that Karna was his brother, he chose to go against his own mother for a half brother he never knew. 2)Krishna even tho he favored the pandavas, he gave an equal opportunity to both Arjuna and Suyodhana to pick either him or his army. Arjuna picked him. 3)When you look at how they fought both sides broke rules. Abhimanyu's death was unfair and so were the deaths of Draupadi's sons who were newborns, pandavas surely broke the rules more but even then neither side played fair.

It was an equal fight between the two till Bheema hit him on the thigh.
Here Bheema is shown to be struggling against Duryodhana. How far will the movie makers go to appease stardom?
But Darshan is the best Duryodhana we have ever seen till date. He is perfect for the character. Kudos to him.
Actually according to Bori CE, Duryodhana did overpower Bhima and made him unconscious. But I also feel that they exaggerated it in this movie to the point that Bhima didn't land a single hit on Duryodhana.

@Mohammed Sultan Duryodhana could not have been defeated fairly because the previous night to the fight, he got a boon from his mother to make his entire body (except his inner thighs and groin area) like a Diamond, which itself is unfair. Moreover, you are only looking at the fairness/unfairness of fights. If you look at the bigger picture, then as per righteousness, Pandavas had to win, irrespective of who is weak or strong, which Krishna facilitated.

Suyodhana was the most powerful mace man in Mahabharat. Trained by Sree Balarama, he knew all methods and tactics of Mace Fight. Even Bhima was no match for him, who only had brute strength, but lacked the stamina and technique, crucial to win the fight against a warrior like Suyodhana. Only deceit made him fall down, for the sin he committed, that he paid with his death. He lived like a warrior and died like one.
You have said the true part of suyodhan..... kauravas were bery powerfull than pandavas. The only thing they got defeated is due to adharma....... the battle in mahabharatha is between dharma and adharma... not between kauravas and pandavas... pandavas also are adharmas only they killed guru Dronacharya with a lie. They killed karna by taking thier most power kavach kundal....with kavach kundal of karna, no sastras can harm him ...

1)On a Dharmic scale, Pandavas were better off than Kauravas even tho both sides had committed sins. An example of how good they were is seen when the war ended and Yudhishtir cursed his own mother for hiding the fact that Karna was his brother, he chose to go against his own mother for a half brother he never knew.
2)Krishna even tho he favored the pandavas, he gave an equal opportunity to both Arjuna and Suyodhana to pick either him or his army. Arjuna picked him.
3)When you look at how they fought both sides broke rules. Abhimanyu's death was unfair and so were the deaths of Draupadi's sons who were newborns, pandavas surely broke the rules more but even then neither side played fair.

Krishna once remarked to Arjuna "Had Duryodhan not been on side of Adharma, I would watch his mace fight all day" Balarama admired Duryodhan so much, that he wanted subhadra to marry Duryodhan..
But Duryodhan should not have tortured Pandavas so much.. He directed his hatred on Bheem upon other pandavas, which was wrong.. Yudhistira, Nakula, sahadeva were humble people.. Bheem and Arjuna were egotistic

Darshan was a major star in the Kannada industry and just to please his fans, they showed Duryodhana beating Bheema to pulp. As per epic both were equally powerful and strong and it was difficult for one to dominate the other.

In physical strength Bheema is superior than Duryodhana, Only the 18th day's fight Duryodhana shows his mace fighting skill against Bheema because he got the blessing from his mother. Bheema is Superior in Strength but in mace fight Duryodhan is little better because he was trained by Lord Balaram.
