Isn’t this simply so so beautiful! My Nan had a musical jewellery box that played this tune. I used to ask her if I could wind it up to play it every time I saw her. I want to feel close to her this morning so I needed to hear this. Thank you so much. ❤
My mom grew up in China in the early 20th century before the Chinese communist ruled China. She went to a prestige girls high school run by the Christian missionaries in Nanjing. My mom's complexion was fair and she had a round cute face, so her teacher gave her an English name, Daisy. She studied English and learned many songs in English. She taught me this song when I was a young child. I was fascinated by the song and learned to sing it. She passed away 23 years ago. When I hear this song, it reminds me of her. I miss you, Mom.
Brilliant! I emigrated to Scotland 14 years ago, because I fell in love with the Scottish landscape. The smell of the forest and the laich wind that rustles the leaves. And in Robyn's music I find that same ambience; that same magic.
i watched this video in english because we're reading catcher in the rye and my teacher wanted us to hear the song the little boy on the curb was singing
when it this song was imported to japan,it changed to a song of homeland-loving person's sorrow song named"kokyou no sora"meaning sky of my homeland, nothing like love song ua-cam.com/video/ep_Ob4t99wg/v-deo.html

I love it! Is this song out there in Scottish Gaeilge?
Why would it be? It was written by Burns who spoke Scots, not Gaelic.
