@JuriK We may never be exactly equal but we keep making progress and Beef is exactly that. It was a top show on netflix with a primarily asian cast, and had an asian male portrayed in sexual light. breakthroughs 👍
He was one of my favorite characters from the show, really saw myself in him
I'm really really happy that all these Asian actors are getting more recognition and roles in movies and mainstream TV shows and playing pivotal characters. Not just the best friend or the guy that dies first or has a 1 minute role.

It can literally effect how groups are treated or how “cool” they are in a society, I don’t know if that sounds really dumb but I mean just look at how many women in this society viewed Asian men before all these years compared to now…big difference from before. And this dude right here is one of those reasons. What I think is the more representation a minority group has the more respect it will actually be given. Many Asians here can agree with me growing up they were more of a joke than “cool”. Look how normalized racism was against Asians in the past.

@@usersixnine347 Im a white woman and I wholeheartedly loved the show. I am not only happy that it was made up of Asian Americans, but that they were essentially, Americans - just living their lives like the rest of us. The themes were universal. While still infusing little bits of the Korean culture in the show , it was about something all races can relate too. The fact that Asian Americans happened to be playing most of the roles made it even better, because yes they need representation too.

The beef is one the best show I've ever seen on Netflix it's really an instant classic hope we get a season 2.
Why would this show need a season 2? The beef was the driving force of the show. At the end of the show the beef between the two main characters was resolved. To me a second season seems pointless. But maybe you have some counter points?

Then, I read the reviews & figured I’d check it out, & I’m so happy I did! It’s captivating, funny, & entertaining as hell! If you haven’t seen it, you’re missing out! 🤩
