Every fighting game fan needs to play some ranked in a team game to remind them of their love for 1v1 fighting games. Like a scared straight program for gamers.
Lol that's true, i feel like the opposite is also true for team game players who constantly blame teamates to play a fighting game when it's you and yourself getting your ass beat. I can speak for experience it really humbled me 😂
“How’s your day been Chat? Today I’ve decided to add Marvel Rivals in ‘Will It Kill?’ Now… watch this: will this Doctor Strange pop off with his ultimate against a Peni, Luna Snow, and Mantis?”
Frank Castle is pretty good in this game. And I love it when he said "It's punishing time" in the original Punisher comic. Probably my favorite moment.
The thing were people ask&say "when I get to whatever rank, will my teammates be better??" Has never once been the case that they are really better in any online team game. Not now, not ever.
I’ve found in team games it’s very easy to focus on your teammates mistakes and blame them for the loss. But in reality, none of us play perfectly all the time every game. So if you treat the losses like learning experiences, it can be a win. There’s something you could do better in even your best games. Getting tilted at teammates just throws the match and stunts your improvement
I agree. Plus, it's really thrilling when you manage to be "the guy" who holds a bad team together. Focusing on your own mistakes makes that more likely to happen.
ok but i get mvp every game and most damage and most blocked most games so obviously i always play perfectly and its always the dps players fault smh smh

I'm fairly new to these types of games... I main Magneto and there's so many instances where when we're close to losing, I switch to Mag and just become an impenetrable force after the enemy stomps on us for most of the match and are meters away from the win. Have a support who just keeps you alive, cycle through your skills really well, make sure your support survives too and you'll have a grand ol' time. I don't get why it's so difficult for people to be able to flex to support and tanks (I primarily play these two roles) especially when the game has made it way more fun AND the point is you'll have a higher chance winning. Like... It's a TEAM game... not deathmatch. If you get a bunch of kills but still lose, then what's the point? What are you trying to prove except that you're extremely selfish and you like losing apparently? And this is IF you're good. Meanwhile the majority of dps lockers barely get kills and at worst keep feeding. So whether you're good or bad, you still ultimately lose. It's so baffling?? Just play conquest or something if you're so obsessed with kills... or Idk play something like CoD where they give you so much more incentive for that type of playstyle. I get the whole power trip fantasy and in something like Rivals where you get to play these cool, legendary characters... but come on.
The issue is most people think they're the main characters and confirmation bias means that one time they dive and get a 3+ kill overwrites the 30 other times they feed and then they say "healer diff" or some bs even though I have top healing AND damage dealt. I just went to bot play for a bit and then dropped cause it's fun but not really interesting to just play bots constantly
I play mainly Strategists and it's just so ridiculous... I can't take it anymore after a few games in a row and also start flaming. I need to work on that I suppose. Still, like how is it purely my fault we lost? How am I supposedly "not healing at all" and yet also have a higher healing score than the enemy team???
I feel like a lot of these dps-ers are also newbies who think having a healer automatically means you have infinite survivability and health packs stuck to their butts throughout the entire game or something. Never mind that they don't help by just running in like idiots and think they still somehow are going to survive it and worse they expect YOU to run in there and survive too. You can tell they never once bother to check how these other heroes work. I have to tell myself "okay these are literally children" especially with Rivals due to the insane player count and popularity rn to keep myself sane because I don't wanna believe it's mostly adults who are THIS narcissistic and need so much hand holding 😭
Yo the fact that the bots actually bother with good team comp and flexing between rounds and even points at time is wild to me. On hard mode they're not bad to warm up with either (I'm a pure beginner so I legit am not a super expert but they seem to be programmed pretty well)!
The difference shown in this video between the unbridled joy and constant laughing while playing punisher and then the shield/melee cancel boredom and soul crushing misery of your team not doing anything while playing dr strange is why everyone in your games insta locks DPS.
I gave up even trying ranked because people will dive, die, then go AFK. Team games TRULY bring out the worst in people. Casual Match is the only way to enjoy this game, imo.
Weird, I play quickplay and I seem to get literal children, and people who've never played a team game before. Legit had the first teammate spectator cam cuts to be a Thor struggling to walk through a doorway.
Either that or play with friends. Solo queue comp is miserable, very few people want to flex. The more people that you have that you know will play tank/support or flex to those roles, the less likely it is for you to get randoms who won’t. It also helps that I main support so we always have at least one.
Comp still brings out the mean in people, but 90% of quick play people legit just want to play their duelist main and wont touch vanguards/strategists with a 10 foot pole. I prefer ranked cuz people are more willing to try and make a real team comp.
as a vanguard (mainly strange) main since alpha there were always those 1 in 20 matches where I had to play duelist and just picked punisher. I forgot to use anything except M1 and Q, and still got MVP every time
I know how Sajam feels about backseat gaming, but man... every time you flash your Doctor Strange shield the 10,000 orphans responsible for repairing it don't get to eat that day. Please. Think of the shield orphans! (Seriously though, every time you flash the shield costs you ~120 shield HP in lost regen, you gotta let that thing recharge!)
Solid fundamentals on the Strange, but those ults were so forced. Gotta be a bit more patient and save them for a good hit on the healers, not just one tank.
Your gameplay is really good! I was playing healer in my game and our trash dps was complaining about heals even though I was the only one and I was playing Adam warlock. It was quickplay too 😐
It's probably the age old "the game is super new so everyone and their moms are able to climb through ranks" hence why there's still really dumb teammates up there. A friend of mine who's an Overwatch vet warned me to maybe wait for a few seasons before it mellows out before going into ranks but never really explained why. I guess this is one of the reasons 😂
Yesterday I was playing Strat in ranked and about 50% of my games with a Groot main... That MF'r kept wrecking walls between me and half the characters in our team so I couldn't heal them without running into firing lines. It was "great".
14:00 those are bots, not even in a disparaging way. i play essentially exclusively against ai and one of their notable habits is just booking it to touch point at ~90% cap progress. no human does that like they do it i can see it instantly
Okay but honestly you are within those whom draft prejudice from scoreboard, much as often times it tells a misleading story. For example the nothing happening match, all the "decent" healing numbers was pump into tank(you) while "DPS" taking unfavourable flank commitment without assistance
Sajam definitely made his team lose that second round on hell's heaven, he gave up the main hallway to the enemy team, and as expected they simply walked onto the point with zero resistance. He needs to work on his positioning as a tank. I also lol'd when he proceeded to flame his teammates in chat right after.
Team mates never stop playing kinda mid so true bestie. Played a game in masters lol lobby today against Nunu chall supp and as adc I was forced to flash because Braum didn't tank the lvl 1 snowball for me (he still got hit after i flashed btw). In hindsight it's likely both supps were 2ndary role/autofill given the rough edges around their play, but it's just, you should always be ready for the worst case scenario or you'll get caught with your pants down really easily.
I’m NGL Sajam’s attitude kinda bugs me about the whole teammates thing. It 100% does suck when you lose despite feeling you played your best but for the most part in this game except for the absolute bottom of bronze people are generally pretty flexible. Even if they aren’t, it’s really easy to blame dps because it’s super easy to point and laugh at the leaderboard when kills aren’t what win games. Positioning and team cohesion do. I’m a tank main btw
his mask is starting to slip lol. it’s easy to maintain a veneer of toxic positivity when you’re only playing 1v1 games, but team games are a different story. fighting games are for solipsists and most people who play them can’t handle having to navigate a team dynamic. luckily for him though, he’s laid enough groundwork so that people won’t call him out for it despite the cognitive dissonance.
