She always had a passion for helping out the homeless but got started offering the beauty services after many women showed interest in her hair and makeup. From there Shirley created her own organization to help the homeless, Beauty 2 the Streetz.

I’ve never seen a celebrity on skidrow directly reaching out to them with resources or help like this. But they donate to these non exist charity foundations for tax write off that don’t make a real impact. LA is populated with rich and wealthy people smh. If I had the money I would be doing what she’s doing.

@@weareallbornmad410 My cousin & I for years, two days a wk worked at a clothing drive which was a soup kitchen at night. When that ended I donated my time in Spanish Harlem to help work in a little kitchen in a church where ppl come for coffee and snacks in the cold winters. Before I moved I donated my last 3 thanksgivings feeding others. Now bcuz of a health issue I donate everything I haven't used in 6 months, some things still in boxes or with tags still on them, to a homeless shelter which is actually a safe house for women and their children. I mean it's hard to continue to live even in a big one bedroom for years without giving away stuff & it makes me happy & hopefully others can be helped as well. Still I'd like to clone this woman. Her smarts, her youth, her ambition and skills are helping on a real grass roots level and I bet she's going to blow this idea up & we're going to see more of her & like her... So yes "We are all born mad", she's not the only person but I stand by my comment. Not everyone does nothing & just talks & wishes....
@@deborahaviles708 That's good to hear. I work with the homeless, too, but I don't see myself providing this kind of service. There are very few homeless women in Poland, for one. Although, maybe one day I could organise such an even at a shelter - we'll see. I have other tasks and projects on my mind for now.

I have and still do help the homeless for years. But I wish I could do more like this !
I wash and condition my wigs and give them to the homeless women.
They always look like new!
They have places in center city where they can wash their hair and shower. I tell people to donate toiletries and underwear ,etc.
These women have the same personal needs as we women do.
May GOD continue to bless and use you to bring joy to those who have fallen on hard times.
