I spent three hours struggling through books while this guy right here explained it in a cakewalk style within 18mins. Respect sir! :') Wish I found you a bit earlier
Hi Cwenga, Thanks for watching an episode of OSCMHelp! Fortunately, it doesn't take a genius to solve the material we're covering--just some focus and hard work! Please stay tuned for future episodes or visit us online at www.oscmhelp.com Thanks again! Tim
Hi Tim, It's very useful for me to reach to your clip. It makes me more understandable about BOM and MRP. so thank you very much. It's so regretful a bit, however, I didn't watch it sooner, becos I want to ask you that if there is any other way to do MRP. You know if the product tree has many levels and branches, you have to make so many tables to calculate items? It will be so complex and messy.
That’s an excellent question! Fortunately there are several SAP and MRP software systems currently in the market that will do a lot of this work automatically for you (thank goodness!). Think about a trying to do an MRP schedule by hand for a Boeing aircraft that has more than a million parts!!! That would be an absolute nightmare. The key takeaway here is that we conceptually follow the steps. That way, when the time comes to work with these software systems, we have a better understanding of how they work. Thanks for your question!
Thanks a lot for your answer. Can't believe you still keep track of this channel. great. I understood ya purpose. due to this, another thing I explore is that operations management is totally involved with MRP and the others quite details. and I'm reading books about this. Thanks again.
Hey Tim 3 of the most osm videos which will help me significantly. I can't thank you enough for this. I'm afraid I'm too late how do i follow you, unable to open your website.

awesome explanation
why is the Item order for B done in week 8 -300 and not so in week 9?
I dont understand this either
Because we need item B ready for production of item A by week 9, so we have to order earlier
