I love mass producing! I haven't got the art of keeping it simple yet! Every year I say I will make them simple but hasn't happened yet! Thanks for sharing Ardyth!
Wow! Thank You, Thank You, and THANK YOU!!! You are such a generous kind lady to share all these amazing ideas with us!!! I am about to be mass producing Christmas cards like a pro now! =)
How incredibly cool is it that you have a "SCORE ARDYTH" talking about personalized tools😁And my you are so fast, getting things done and wonderful cards💕Well done sweetie😍
You are definitely a rock star when it comes to creating beautiful multiples of cards! These, here, are festive fabulous! I'm curious about your trimmer; can you share details, please? Thank you, once again, for your marvelous inspiration! ~carol
That trimmer is a Dahle 550 - I love it. Self sharpening, rolling blade that I have never replaced. The trimmer is big, but it will always have a place in my craft room! Thanks for watching, Carol!
@DorotejaC We make them for every family in our church, my parents church & some in my sisters church, plus our friends, family & neighbors. My Hubby tells me I'm crazy every year, but he still helps. 😆
WOW! I do that most years for my (and my parents') churches, so I know exactly what goes into a big project like that! What an amazing gift that you share! Thanks so much for watching!
I LOVE that trimmer. I bought it back when I was making wedding invitations. It's big but it will always have a place in my craft room! Thanks so much for watching!
What a great and helpful video. I certainly struggle with any card making because I want it to be perfect. I have FMO on all the perfect cards I see demo'd. You certainly help me with that. Happy Holidays!
I think many of us struggle with that. I think while it's good to want everything to be exactly as we would like, and to continue to strive for perfection, we should be kind to ourselves when we don't quite get there! I try to aim for improvement rather than perfection. Hope that makes sense! lol! Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for this. I copied the check list and saved it to my "cardmaking" file for future reference! It's got so many helpful tips!! Thanks again!
Great tips! I may be able to use your ideas for cards I make this year. I think I am done with Christmas cards or close, but send many birthday cards throughout the year.
Haha! I purposely showed its name in the video because I often get questions about it. It's a Dahle 550 trimmer. I got it from an office supply store. Thanks so much for watching!
I will look into that. On my initial search, it appears that you can turn on captions yourself, for any video you want to watch. Thanks for the feedback and for watching.
I couldn’t believe it when you said 24 cards took about 2 hours😮 Incredible!! I see you have a Gemini Jr. there…can you tell me what sandwich you use for the newer Simon Says Stamp embossing folders? My Gemini Jr. does not like them. I’ve tried 10 or more sandwiches and the result is usually the same. Either not embossed enough in places or overly embossed causing tears. I get great results w/ others🤔 Happy Holidays🎄
I don't have SSS embossing folders, but for the 3d folders from Altenew, I use 2 Sizzix cutting plates (from Big Shot). They are slightly thinner than the Gemini cutting plates and that give me flexibility to use both Gemini, or both Sizzix, or one of each, to get different amounts of pressure. And I'm not shy about using a cardstock shim if I need it. I've also heard of people spritzing their cardstock very lightly with water before using 3D embossing folders, that seems to help with cracking. It's definitely a process of trial and error. Good luck! Thanks for watching!
@@ardyth Best tip I’ve heard for Gemini Jr!! Thx!!! I will get those Sizzix plates and give them a try. Sure is cheaper than a new embossing machine😬 Do you have a fav manual embossing machine? Im considering one if I cannot get my embossing folders to work right. Merry Christmas🎄
@@kristinekerr3688 So glad you found that helpful. I still have my Big Shot Plus downstairs (nothing wrong with it, it just takes up a lot of space on my desk) and I love my Altenew Mini Blossom (is that what it's called?) for small, one-off die cuts.
OMG, I just tried a SSS 3D folder with my gemini! Now I understand the tears! lol! It is super-thick, isn't it? Took me quite a while, and the 2 sizzix plates were too thick. I ended up with 1 Gemini plate, embossing folder with cardstock, black embossing mat (the rubbery one, not magnetic), and a cardstock shim. If you don't have an embossing mat, try a couple more cardstock shims. Good luck - and if you find the magic solution, I'd love to hear it! lol!
si vous faites 23 cartes identiques , c est sur que 2 heures sont suffisantes , meme matériel meme tampon , je fais toujours 30 cartes complètement differentes , donc 2 h c est chacune
This proves we can make beautiful handcrafted cards that people will love and we won't get stressed out trying to mass produce ! Thank you Ardyth !

Lots of good tips. Thank you. If you have a large scoreboard you can score the the whole sheet of card before you cut. Saves time. 🤔

That’s amazing! I’m pretty sure it would take me an hour just to make one striped 8.5x11 background!
Maybe the first time. It gets faster the more you make. Thanks for watching!
