after 1.21 update i was able to get this done with the porsche RSR with medium turbo. fuel lean 6 pretty much the whole time. check your weather radar and make sure you zoom out all the way. you should be able to do a lap after the rain starts but it does get quite heavy later on. i pitted twice. hard > full wets > inters. i won by 30+ seconds. car is very easy to control.
Just won this today with the Mazda. Was the last one I needed for this section. Took a bit but finished about 30s ahead once I figured it out. This video helped a lot. Much appreciated. I’m all in on my Mazda this thing has got me through so much heart ache on this game lol
Man I can’t thank you enough I tried multiple strategies/cars from other videos in UA-cam and that didn’t seem to work even though I was ~3 seconds a lap quicker than their times. Probably something changed in the game over the month that the videos were posted. Subbed 👍
Just finished this and wanted to see what others did. I managed it with a Supra GT500. Ran RMs until other cars started pitting in. Then ran IMs until the end. The hard downpour part was difficult. I even crashed once. Also kept fuel all the way to lean (6) the whole time and only pitted when out of gas. 3 laps before the end I passed into first, and the lap before last, 2nd thru 5th pitted in and ended up nowhere near me. Had to take that last lap slow cuz my tires were pretty bald.

I used the Aston Martin race car for this. Racing Hard, changed to Wet when the rain started and lean fuel all the way. I lapped 2nd place. Easiest one of the lot.
Bruh why was this so easy with this car?! Especially without messing with the gas wtf lol I did exactly what you said with the corvette and still came in 5th place. I buy this car and do exactly what you say and it was almost toooo damn easy to beat. Thanks lmao
with this approach oversteer and tirewear is enormous! i won this race with Supra GT500. it has no oversteer and tirewear is around 2 times lower. it was 100 times easier to drive!
Dannnnngaaaa! I keep doing this thing, where I buy the wrong car. Just got the Peugeot Z Gr.3 (the audi looking one) and the Nissan Gr.3 GTR 2018. GTR is mildly better. But now I spent all ME MONEY💰 💸😭
Is there a bug in 1.25 update about this mission? I did everything the sam as you. Same car, same pit strategy and still finished 6th, 30 seconds behind.
Once I have seen your video and followed all your suggestions, my problem is with the consumption of the rain tires, they do not last as long as yours. What am I doing wrong? I'm gonna go crazy
