Wow, what a great interview. I have been working hard at learning to Tongue Block. Dennis answered some of my questions here by telling how he Tongue Blocks On holes 1 to 4. So I will be working on tongue switching for one thing. Thank you both for this great interview.
Dennis is awesome, not just a great diatonic player but also a fantastic chromatic blues player. He has a brilliant stage persona/presence and is a real credit to our instrument. I wish he was UK based!!
Most interesting interview, wow great insight about TB and also never knew anything about Dennis.Candid , funny, humble, and inspirational to me and others on their musical journey.Kudos.
Funny I just found Big River harps in Eb and F# I forgot I had. I got both probably 20 years ago at a Music Go Round in Louisville. They were like half off. I think about 12 bucks each.
My God Dennis, is that your mic collection???????? Holy Shit!!! I still have that model A you were interested in! Now I know where all those NOS mic's I was bidding on went..
Man I’ve been playing for a week an it came similar I was getting pretty decent got my bends down an even a few tabs by Liam an others tryed the tongue blocking now I’m discouraged an wanna throw it away lol
Don’t give up. The way that I learned to TB, was to take a song I could already play lip-pursed, and start playing it using TB only. It does take some time to find what works for you, but it’s 100% worth learning how to do. Nothing else comes close to emulating the dynamics and texture that can be achieved by TB.
Hi Liam ! Would you please do a Johnny Cash song , Falsom Prison blues , or Long black veil , or anything one can play with both guitar and harmonica . That would be awesome . Have a nice day !

You're welcome Tony. Dennis is such a nice guy, he was really generous with his time and it was an honour to meet him (if only via Skype!)
