you can never blame the customer, blaming the customer is a failed business!!!! he is just not very good, he is not very familiar with Irish audiences, that's his problem!!
Most of the crowds that go or even watch the late late show aren't what you'd call young so they may not like his type of jokes even though he's bloody brilliant
with a show like the late late that mixes serious stuff, music and small bits of comedy it can hardly be expected that the crowd would be laughing uncontrollably straight away. it takes a while to warm up a crowd. thats why most comedians have an opener. its unrealistic of him to expect a great reaction straight away or even in 4 minutes
If you have an audience that is not there specifically to see you, and if - and I don't know whether this is the case here - the audience isn't being directed by applause signs and "warm-up comedians", you're generally not going to get huge, whooping laughs for every single joke. Just doesn't happen. Also doesn't help if you're taping in the afternoon and nobody's had a drink...
Right jokes, wrong audience. Billy Connolly said on the late late show, sometimes all you could hear was the boiled sweets clicking against the false teeth.
It's the late late show Audience. 50-80 years on average. 50 to 80 year old Irish people like tea and discussions about misfortunate events. They like to tut more than laugh.
I don't get what everybody's complaining about. Those sounds at the end of every punchline very much resemble laughter to my ear. You don't have to completely blow your windpipe inside-out to enjoy a joke.
I'm from Ireland and absolutely love him, didn't get the 3 in 1 Scottish women joke though... I must apologize for the audience, it is mostly old people who watch the late late. Though the set was dumbed down a bit and lacking his usual spark I think.
I love Jimmy Carr. Do get why people didnt like it as much as they did. He has a lot better clips on youtube only. But there was a dreadful atmosphere in there as well, fuck me.
I like how he rates the audience, and feels no pressure to please them. Just does his thing. Crazy amount of confidence.
Nothing worse than a Late Late Show audience.
you can never blame the customer, blaming the customer is a failed business!!!! he is just not very good, he is not very familiar with Irish audiences, that's his problem!!
+Edward Tynan oh let's literally copy and paste the exact same comment to and use it to reply to someone else's comment... you're clearly a wizard
+Edward Tynan He used the same jokes in Glasgow and worked very well
because they're just one liners not proper comedy stand up, if I wanted edgy one liners I would just look on the Internet
Most of the crowds that go or even watch the late late show aren't what you'd call young so they may not like his type of jokes even though he's bloody brilliant
I live in Ireland, worked at one of his shows, the crowd loved him, its just the Late Late audience :P
People at "home" loved it! :D
Jimmy Carr rocks! :D
He is genious. Even with a bad crowd, he can make the best out of them. Absolutely fantastic.
The audience he played to in Dublins Olympia roared their heads off laughing. Jimmys is a legend. He is so sound to his fans that he meets.
Whoa, tough crowd. Haven't seen Mr. Carr work that hard before.
Finally, a set I haven't seen.
Jimmy sure as hell earned his paycheck on this gig!
THE LAST ONE IS THE BEST!!!
This guy is great!
I knew every bit in this show and I was expecting more laughs for such a brilliant comedian
lololol jimmy owned that audience. "Is there a time delay on your audience?"
lol I thumbs up that! I felt so bad for Jimmy to have such a dense audience XD
these are his mild jokes but still so good
his 2 word joke is amazing lmao
The piece and quiet one killed me lol!
"Hopefully people are laughing at home, I'm getting nothing here." :L

dont worry, the people at home are DEFINATELY laughing a lot more than that audience
lol it makes it funnier that he's bombing with quite funny jokes
the average age of a late late show crowd is 90
@tassiered LMAO, "He would have gone down better at my man's Bridge club".
Not his best night... watch some of his other stuff :D

Right jokes, wrong audience. Billy Connolly said on the late late show, sometimes all you could hear was the boiled sweets clicking against the false teeth.
i laughed at one of those jokes and that was the peace and quiet one, others were just cheezy or old.
It's the late late show Audience. 50-80 years on average. 50 to 80 year old Irish people like tea and discussions about misfortunate events. They like to tut more than laugh.
Evidently Fans of Jimmy Carr and Fans of the Late Late Show are mutually exclusive.
I don't get what everybody's complaining about. Those sounds at the end of every punchline very much resemble laughter to my ear. You don't have to completely blow your windpipe inside-out to enjoy a joke.
How are they not laughing?!
Dude ive seen allllll thease jokes on sickipedia lol
wow THAT was a tough crowd...
The guy who roars laughing after 'One in three Scottish women is clinically obese'!
wow. Tough crowd.
The 11 voters for dislike, were in the audience.
Woah...tough crowd
Agh! He didn't finish off with the Alzheimers joke by saying it a second time!!

shizer... thats a pretty tough crowd out there for him... he pulled it off alright tho.
his right eye...
ahhh Jimmy tried so hard bless him
Id say most of the audience seen the pat kenny slaughter.
4:04
@IqbalHamid its an irish audience the problem is their usually a bit older than his usual crowd
I'm from Ireland and absolutely love him, didn't get the 3 in 1 Scottish women joke though... I must apologize for the audience, it is mostly old people who watch the late late. Though the set was dumbed down a bit and lacking his usual spark I think.
Well, he meant all women in Scotland are obese. He wasn't saying there are only 3 women in Scotland.
What do you expect !!!!!, its the fkn late late, its for granny's.
@IronRoss66 yeah cause jimmy carr wasnt bought up in england with english accent, started his career there, lives there,.....you dozy paddy
@Mike Scott Its called "upper case" and not "capital" . What do they teach in schools nowadays?
@UTFRG um captain obvious- that wasnt an american program, it was irish
It's in Ireland.
@ArchhereticK Why are you watching it then???
what country is this?
he obviously knew the were bad! he twisted his face at 4:24 when he finished D:
"Is there a small time delay on your audience?"
Even when the audience is humorless he will turn it to his advantage
Was that intro song Cars?
im laughing jimmy, its ok
I think that the fact there is like 15 people in the audience would have something to do with the lack of reactions.
Weasel Tubridy, I don't even consider him Irish.
@Socks170 You're not -seriously- suggesting that Jimmy Carr gets his jokes from Sickipedia, are you..?
@junglenun caz most the crowd are old maybe?. i saw jimmy carr last week in killarney, ireland, and he had a great audience who couldnt stop laughing
tough crowd..geez
@trafotevoli Umm this is Ireland, when he did the talk show circuit in the USA they loved him.

@damianryanfilms jimmy carr is irish, he just grew up in england...
This is fucking funny laaaaaaaaaaaauuuuuuuuuuggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh you bastards
the awkward moment when you realize the crowd is too stupid for your jokes
@youngfeniansofeire yeah, i agree. I only like about 10 Irish people. And Im one of them.
he didnt exactly start with his best stuff
- at least their probably pissing themselves.
@trafotevoli It's funny you should say that since he was in ireland at the time...
Irish people's humour is of high standards, this video proves it !
I love Jimmy Carr. Do get why people didnt like it as much as they did. He has a lot better clips on youtube only. But there was a dreadful atmosphere in there as well, fuck me.
Holy shit. Someone's pissy.
