I guess you guys must’ve been thoroughly confused with the Tom Brady roast last Sunday. (most of the jokes are not really what actually happened. they’re making fun of the situation. just like Mr. Carr did.

This joke says: you don't know when a person is born, you can only be sure when it's had 21 years to figure it out.
@@MikeCee7 so, two things are prevalent here. The fact that you say “Western civilisation” as though the rest of the world is somehow less, says a lot about you, especially considering the fact that you haven’t contributed anything to that “civilisation”.
Secondly, I saw the roast, what you failed to realise is that a lot of those jokes were in fact NOT metaphors but actual roasts of things that really happened like Deflategate and the Patriots owner Kraft being involved in a prostitution scandal.
Lastly, I poked fun at you, because you said it was the “best” joke you’d heard in a long time. As you’ve seen the roast of Tom Brady, you’d have actually heard quite a few better jokes than Jimmy’s trans joke.
Tony Hinchcliffe’s liver joke about Bert Kreischer comes to mind, and almost all of Nicky Glazers time at the podium was killer.

I don't know how well americans get on with british comedy but you should know Jimy Carr has done many stand up shows over the years and they're all great. I highly reccomend watching them, not just his netflix special

I love a good old-fashioned one-liner style comedian, and he has some excellent one-liners in that set, but I do feel the little "do you get it?" facial expressions and pauses spoil it a bit.

the thing I love about him is that he always as spot on reason why people can't be offended by him. It's always sound. He is such a funny savage man, I love him lol. The fact he can take jokes, make them serious but funny, but can take a very sensitive topic and make it funny and honest. You can't take what he says out of context either cause he explains it in the joke. He has a good way with words. I also love how he goes after everyone... equally lol
