Thank you for explaining the waveform for me. Boris Hajkudovic swears by it but I never understood what I am looking at in his videos when he points to it. NOW, I get it!! Thank you!!

Thank you for this most helpful and interesting tutorial. I am new to darktable. In my first attempt to use it, I adjusted the exposure using the histogram. Then on trying to adjust the white balance, I received an error message advising the white balance had been edited twice! I figured this is because darktable has already applied a white balance setting already. No problem, I used the setting in the left panel to make my preferred setting. I had to redo the exposure setting but noticed the histogram had no data. I tried to find something on the subject all in vain! Have you any ideas of how I can retrieve the original histogram with the information of the image displayed in the histogram?

Hi Zane, I'm glad that you found this video helpful.
The error message is probably because the white balance is set both in the White Balance and Color Calibration modules. Try setting the white balance module to Camera Reference. For more information, check the A to Z videos on Color Calibration.
Could you provide more data on what you did and what you do you mean by histogram has no data? Is the histogram panel removed? Is it empty? Maybe the histogram mode is set to linear instead of logarithmic?

@@RawPhotographyTutorials Thank you for taking the time to help. The histogram is is there but it is empty! All I did was the exposure then reset the white balance in the left panel, When I when back to reset the exposure the histogram was empty.

Sure - happy to help if I can.
How do you reset the white balance in the left panel? I'm not sure I follow. Could you specify which module (check the name on top of the module) you mean.
If all fails, you could try discarding history in Lighttable.
If that doesn't resolve then could you please post a screenshot of the problem?
