I skunked yesterday. Wasn’t even mad though. Had so much going on lately with a death in the family, new job transition and moving all at the same time, that I hadn’t gone fishing in 3 whole weeks. I normally fish multiple times a week. So just getting a line in the water felt great.

I’m a long time fly fisher but I use everything and sadly been in an area I can’t fish for awhile so looking forward to getting back at it! Thanks.
Fishing 4MR in my kayak, all the visible surface action has been carp and gizzard shad. Never been able to catch any of the bass I could see below me around the bridge supports. Been broken off a bunch by some big fish, probably snagged carp. Once cold I stick to catfishing at the Potomac bridges if I bother fishing at all.
Mate over here in Australia, it's getting hot. Down in victoria we have a very popular fish named, murray cod. These are monster fish and we're just getting into cod season, so if your curious of what the most popular fish in Vic, Aus is there you go!

i'll never try to teach you how to fish but i am just bored so :D ... In my country the fish only want the silicon shad retreaved relatively slow towards the surface of water, with a .20 oz jighead and leaving it to sink slowly into the bottom, the "cannibal shad" of 3.5 inches (8.5cm) works extremely well because of his tail action when sinking - it mimmics extremely well a hurt fish. I just hook on a 27 inch pike (my pb) after not catching anything for 2 months of fishing lures like in the summer, it just doesn't work for me :D
I'm not sure if I mentioned it, but if you haven't tried the Free Rig you got to give that a try. You can literally use any lure, any hook, and any weight you want. It's like five different rigs in one.

And why do u guys dont wait till the fish gets tireed to pull him over? cuz its very easy to break the line not waiting. Thx
When a fisherman says he’d die for you trust him…. As we can see mike slips and falls but still worries about being hooked up more than his well-being LOL

That spinner bait has been money for you on those cold days. Also if that fox had rabies he wouldn't have been that close to water, they get fearful of water when they go rabid.
Any idea why casting a spinner bait breaks your line like it did at 11:00? Did you cast too hard? That happens to me a lot and usually just with spinner baits
I've had good luck at your final destination, I usually cross the intersection then walk down the steps as far as I can go through the overgrowth and always catch them. Not many people travel that far down either so the spot is generally open.

15 pound carp at best though they can get much much much bigger than that and they're actually pretty damn good eating as well.
