Utah is so underrated, the scenery in the DLC is stunning. Despite being mostly desert, each part of the desert is unique and very true to life. Being older it does lack in quality but you can tell it's something SCS really put heart into.
Colorado and Montana are really good. i love their nature and vegetation
I think Colorado is still my favorite, but I've spent way more time cruising random places there than Montana. Also love the 101 down the oregon coast route and am very excited to see when they re-do Highway 1 through Big Sur.
@@chrismburgess Scs has to rework, Oregon and Arizona imo.
@@Germaco oh for sure a lot if it needs to be reworked. The Coastal corridor actually stands up pretty well for now.

Montana and Texas has the most beautiful scenery for me out of the ones so far. They look too realistic! I like all of the DLC's
AP 101 these state information that you bring every update is awesome, with the number of cities, scenery towns, and Square Km size, wish you would also include the same information for California, Nevada and Arizona, although they are not DLCs to be bought, the information you bring up is great and I'm really curious to know about the "forgotten" states as well!

After Nebraska is released, going eastwards seems to be more attractive. Louisiana stats: estimated 9 cities and 6 scenery cities. Area is ranked 31 st and 52.4 thousand sq miles while it is 26th in population density with 108 persons per square mile. Arkansas stats: estimated 8 cities with 16 scenery cities. Area is ranked 29th and 53.2 sq miles. 33th in pop density with 63.0 persons per square mile. Missouri stats: estimated 7 cities and 17 scenery cities. It comes 21st in area with 69.9 square miles. It is 28th in population density and has 89.5 thousand persons per square mile. Iowa has estimated 7 possible cities with 16 possible scenery cities. It is 26th in ranking for population with 53.2 persons per sq mile. The population ranking is 36th with 57.1 thousand persons per square mile. The population density of South and North Dakota are low with a ranking of 46th and 47th respectively. The population densities are far lower with 11.7 and 11.3 persons per sq mile, respectively. I would support the gradual introduction of the Dakotas after one of the larger populated states.

I agree with these rankings. Texas is #1 the biggest state on the map it has everything. 2. would be Colorado its road network is the stuff of legends and everyone knows The Capital of Mountain Standard Time Denver. 3. would be Montana a legacy map from 18 Wheels of Steel but upgraded to modern standards. 4. would be Oklahoma the newest map in the game it is so diverse. 5. would have to go to Washington its road network is compact but SeaTac is big draw. 6. would go to Wyoming it is flat it is rugged and all the big names are in the south including Cheyenne. 7. would have to go to Oregon trees and lots of it the Beaver State has everything plus it has Portland the World Headquarters of Daimler. 8 would have to go to My Idaho the state was compressed and SCS missed some things. 9. Utah of course that says it all. and 10 and the worst DLC outside of Arizona, Nevada, and California would have to be New Mexico everything is outdated and they just ,most recently upgraded it. New Mexico is one state that needs fixing.
Oklahoma flat, we definitely are starting the flat mid-west plains of the United States here.

Love the work SCS are doing with this game but its turning into train simulator in terms of all the DLC,
Base game + just the map DLCS is over £120 (obviously cheaper if you buy during summer sales etc) but in my option its starting to get out of hand
Because it's like a virtual train set. SCS don't make any games, they create add ons for the TS "platform". If there was no map DLC, there'd be no SCS.
Literally every month all DLCs are on sale on steam. Yes, all DLCs will cost you something around the lower 1XX price range, but if you play the game regularly, I think it's a fair price.
Comparing it with train simulator is a bit over the top, imo, since SCS publishes such DLCs maybe once or twice a year.
@@Rocky712_ I suppose the problem is the rapid dating of past DLC content. Paying for Going East! is rediculous today when the map quality is so rudimentary compared to today. Also, the game itself is aging poorly and is in dire need of a new engine, refreshed map and such. And no map extensions will fix that, of which the possibilities for territories are running out.
If you think it's expensive, just buy it during one of the 10 sales it gets every year. Every sale all of the dlc's have a discount between 50-75% off. You can then buy a map bundle which includes every map dlc except for Iberia for just over 25 euros, which is around 22 pounds

I would prefer to have in ATS or ETS a better game engine instead that we get more and more new dlc,s .the old game engine can't handle the game anymore, with all the new features.
Yeah, it's a shame. scs can't be bothered updating the graphics engine it's well out of date. I remember some game demo came out on the commodore c64 powered by prizm 3d in 1991 even uses direct 11 which came out in 2009 direct 12 came out in 2014
@@martingolding4951 yes ,and every game on the market has a better game engine than ets2 or ATS. The farming simulator has now with the new update DLLS support.
