I'm 14 years old next year for my sophimore I'm going to start as a left tackle in varsity I'm trying to watch videos and improve why I have to fill the shoes of the one who was in my next position.
Was playing RG but the tackles were getting beat every play and I'm the best linemen on my team and know how to play every position on the line so my coach moved me to left tackle
Thanks for this great video. I`m a dad who didn`t know much about the O line and drills to do with my 12 year old who finally got into football . He ended up having a great year and now i even think it`s the greatest game on earth. What a brotherhood and great family environment . He is hooked and now wants to do everything possible to get recruited by a university team down the road. He is about 5`11 and weights about 280 pounds which is big for the age and is good athlete, nimble on his feet with good hands. So we`ll see what the future holds. Definitly had some good laughs hearing people talk about him in the crowd during the season who didn`t know i was his dad and even my son saying opposing coaches saying things to him after game, lol.
@@o7nick You are so right about hitting the weights. So important in football. I do know lot about that, former bodybuilder, lol. Since I posted this, he played some extra football , money well spent on provincial team. He is officially the biggest 12,13 year old Oliner in Atlantic Canada. Good luck with your football training.
I'm only 12 yrs old, only 6foot1 and going back into football. My original position was mostly o line and center(o line a lot) I didn't rlly know a lot abt these kind of tricks that I could do like Trent William's. Now that I have seen this video, I am ready to get onto the field and try my best to be just like trent William's. Thank you for making this video❤❤❤ it rlly did help me out a lot. Cant wait to get back out there.❤❤❤
I’m 23 and thinking of getting back into football. I’m 6’5 360 and I have the same vertical as Trent did (I was a collegiate thrower so I trained these past 5 years). Played football in high school (my high school got blown out every game) didn’t let up one sack even against guys who play in the NFL now. Stopped playing because I wanted to preserve my body and mind, coming into the real world and seeing how hard you have to work for how little you get paid, now I don’t mind playing again and potentially making more. Since build and athleticism wise, I’m similar to Trent I wanna see what he does and see if that can work for me.
Honestly, most guys can't be the next Trent Williams. They just don't have his genetics, including intelligence, talent and drive. HOWEVER even Trent Williams benefits from working on technique and study, and that's something that can improve anyone, including Trent. See David Lombardi's August 2022 interview with Trent's coach Chris Foerster here on UA-cam. Trent does have things he's working on to improve his technique.
Trent Williams isn't even an honorable mention for the Oline Mt. Rushmore! Walter Jones, Jonathan Ogden, Orlando Pace all from the last 25 years. Pretty sure I can find one more from the last decade or 2 if I wanted to try. Joe Thomas? Duane Brown? Anthony Munoz?
I'm 42, 6ft 2 and around 230lbs so probably a bit small to play O line. I've just started playing and am drilling with the O line to play LT or LG. Our coaches describe it as bar fighting with helmets and they are probably correct! Definately not boring at all and every play involves contact.
Man the driving from the knee drill took me to another level thank you so much
Did it actually?
Did it or are you just saying that
Were all my Left Guards 💪🏼🙌
Me hopefully if California doesn’t cancel high school football . I’m trying out this year as a freshman
