I rented a stump grinder from a place near me. Had 9 stumps to grind so rented it for 24 hours. Worked on it for 10 hours and only got 2 completely ground to 3-4 inches below grade. Worked on 4 others and ground them to just about or a little above grade. Wasn't able to get to the other 3. The process was much slower than I anticipated and only assumed it would take 4-5 hours max for all 9 stumps. The toro stx 26 I was using only trimmed about 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch at a time. Any more and the teeth would stop rotating. Upon returning, they told me there was likely an issue with the hydrolics bc it should never stop rotating and refunded my 85 of the 250 I spent on the rental. I'm in the process now of trying to get another one for free for a 24 hour period since it's still not fair that 1) I spent over $150 (with tax) for a broken machine 2) Spent over 10 hours working on stumps that should have taken me 4-5 hours total.
No the Vermeer didn't get stuck. I now own a Rayco on tracks and have not been stuck with that either. I did own a Rayco with wheels and got that stuck a couple times, so i think its more of tracks vs wheels and not Rayco vs Vermeer
Okay here's a lesson number one I don't understand business in Sacramento California it's cold stone Kings check me out anyways but yet he doesn't have any barrier around it the number one poor things to make barriers around your stomach because I'm thinks look everywhere don't trust the rubber mounts around there that thing will throw some that hurt somebody so please people buy protective guards that go around the stump and the Machine if you have any more questions please look at my channel stump Kings
wow, that stump grinder shreds right through that stump like a hot knife going through butter

That's a bummer. The smaller gas ones are good for brush stumps and small trees. Other then that they get really bogged down
Just a heads up, if you switch to low range while grinding you won't jerk forwards like that. Cheers!
Good video and you did a really good job. A lot of guys on here run the machine way to fast way to hard.
I’m looking at renting a stump grinder like that
great video
Hunter Colson thanks!
About time 4 a new shin curtain
It's a rental
Wish that was mine it would be nice
Yes its a great machine
I rented a Rayco tice, which got stuck too many times to count. Did you have trouble with the Vermeer getting stuck?

what is the price of one stump grinder .?
Next time I grind stumps take a few minutes and flush them close to the ground. It saves time with the machine and also time when you clean up.
How often do you have to sharpen the blades
Depends on the conditions. I try to get 50 hours for a full set, sometimes you have to change just the leads.... it honestly really depends
I love that stump grinder and where it’s from
I agree, it is an amazing machine.
I loved the wacked out vintage music with a modern twist! What is the music?
Complete Ground Pros i'd rather grind my legs with the stump grinder than listen to that annoying saxophone and trumpets playing
Now that would be a great video
That stump grinder needs a paint job and no not yellow it should be green like that trailer

Is this English? Or perhaps some sort of creole?
Take a breath man, or you will blow a gasket
Let's Barter. You teach me how to stump and I'll teach you the run on sentence.
The music is stupid. Goodbye
