you’ve been THE i racing youtuber for me. i have a few others, but they don’t do it like you. keep it up man!
I appreciate it!!
As an iRacing road racer, I really like the insights into the oval side of iRacing you provide in a very entertaining and informative way👍
Thanks man it's all about growing the nascar cult!
You helped me learn the basic mechanics and strategy of oval racing. I came in first in ARCA for the first time the other night, it felt awesome. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos
I found you through your forgotten tracks videos sometime early last year. As someone who doesn't play iRacing and has not enjoyed most sim racing channels I'd been suggested, I initially pushed you off as "one of them". A few videos later I realized I was actually enjoying your content so I smashed that subscribe button. I may not be interested in every one of your videos but the many I've watched have all been entertaining and educational. Props to the channel growth and cheers to even more in 2024 🥂
I’ve watched you SO much this past year. You’ve helped me so much! You’ve helped me with braking, throttle control, etc. You are THE person to go to when someone wants to watch entertaining, helpful, and amazing iRacing content. Let’s hope for an even better year in 2024!!!
Good things happen to good people keep up the good work Much love from Portugal
Thank you!!
keep making these yearly, interesting to see your growth and perspective.
UA-cam shorts is AMAZING for growing your channel, I find myself watching shorts and coming to the creators channel. Hands down the biggest cheat-code here.
Watching both your channel growth and your willingness to branch into various types of content over the last year has been mega, super hyped for whatever's coming next!
Glad you’ve done so well this year, you deserve it man! Good things coming 2024 🔥
I can definitely say your guides have helped me a lot. I used to be a mediocre oval racer and thanks to you I’m in A class looking to compete in Road to Pro 2024. Thank you and don’t stop doing what you love.
Good luck!! Glad I could help 😁
I was a mediocre iracer before I found his channel.
I'm still a mediocre iracer but now I have content to watch.
Congrats, your growth has just been nuts
Thank you it’s really surprised me too I’m kinda expecting a slower but still steady growth in 2024 hopefully
@@DJYeeJay You will end up with a silver creator award in no time at this rate.
badass dude! as someone who doesn't necessarily have the desire to boost my channel i've been loving seeing your progression and seeing some behind the scenes stuff is cool! good luck and i'll be watching
Congrads man, I can't think of anyone that deserves the sucess more than you! Here's to 2024 🍺
I appreciate man 😁
Dope thumbmail man!!! That's my ZL1 Camaro that Aledam Contreras made for me!!!
He’s just the best as screenshots
I appreciate the transparency. The more people understand these types of algorithms the better they can make informed decisions on things related to online influence. Keep up the great work!
As far as I’m concerned there’s no better iRacing UA-cam personality 😁
Thank you 😁😁😁
4:57 A Duel Logs mentioned is something that I didn't expect but I'll gladly accept
I use those videos to fall asleep every night
@DJYeeJay I actually watch him since i play the card game both irl and in-game
Thanks for sharing! Some really great insights, and it's great to see how you've refined and evolved your strategies. Keep up the great work.
So I found your channel because of the iceberg video, and I really like the format and content you have. I'm brand new to iracing, so I'm expecting to be burning through your content to learn all I can while learning to race.
I really enjoy your content. Keep up the good work!
I don't even play iracing, yet I watch your videos because your commentary is cool 👍🏻
I'm so happy to see how far you've come this year! You've deserve all the good that comes your way.
Thanks for passing the arca guide torch!
Congrats on all the success! Well deserved and well earned!
Thanks Austin congrats on a great year for you too!
Because you're a top bloke mate simple as that
dude i can tell just how much effort you put into these videos and i love that you shared this info with us nice to know what is like behind the scenes
I love sharing it because I know I’d find it interesting from other creators
This is super interesting. Thanks for sharing this info. It has been a lot of fun to watch your channel grow.
Thank you for watching!!
Happy to see your journey unfolding how it is Justin!
Way more money than I would have expected. I was guessing a couple hundred bucks. Good for you man, nice job.
Curious what’s your full time. Has to be something with analytics but been watching for long time since Arca days and awesome to see there’s a whole science to what ur doin. Keep goin bro. Iracing community needs it lol
My full time is an engineer but I don’t work directly with analytics much so this is cool outlet for it
You videos help people and you get to make some money too and that is great.
I wasnt interested in Oval racing before i found your channel, it was pretty interesting and has tempted me to start doing ovals as a road racer
Welcome to the cult of ovals!
despite looking like a nerd you are a truly cool dude. here's to an insanely badass 2024 man.
Cool nerd 😎🤓
you are legitimately the only iracing youtuber i watch other than a couple friends of mine, no other one has content like you, 👍
When he says he's a nerd about the UA-cam analytics he means it. He wakes me up at 3am every day on Discord to talk to me about it
Get on we need to talk about SEO
You are the guy. Haha. Also the fact that you communicate frequently with viewers really helps your channel become a positive community.
im just happy i can finally tell people i know for sure there is a youtuber who actually goes through with giveaways
You also engage with your audience. It made a big impression on me to get answers and even have a comment featured in a video. Good luck I hope you keep growing!
Thanks man thank you for always engaging! It helps me way more than you know
Thank you for the video. Speaking on the tips for videos section, I think what's also really important is being yourself and embracing both who you are and showing/expressing what you're not. For anyone making content that can be difficult, but no one can criticize you for being genuine and authentic. If they do, they are just cynical at best in my mind or jerks at worst. You've deserved all of your success multiple times over because you've always been yourself in addition to your hard work.
psssshhhh what would you know about that
Ya being authentic is definitely a big part of it, I kinda rarely think about it which might work to that benefit. I appreciate the kind words man you’re also been a huge inspiration to me for helping me realize that iracing content can be whatever you want to make of it
No mention of the iRacing rules and regulations charity live stream?! It was a unique idea for a great cause. I tuned in throughout the day.
Idk how I forgot about that haha it’s been a wild year
Well done my dude
I hope soooo much LFM implements an Oval Series:
Just to see you rockin AC.
Plus I´d love to drive oval online, but buying into iRacing for one oval race a week just too much to ask for. Excited how iRacings upcoming Nascar game works
I’m gonna make a vid soon trying ovals in rfactor2 just cause I’m curious to see how it carries over
Stoked your channel is growing. Your content is great.👍
Feels like your channel has been around for longer than two years
I don’t think I’ve seen any other iRacing channels, the algorithm just put you up on there back at the beginning of the year and I’ve been coming back ever since!
That’s awesome haha thanks for watching!
cheers mate that was pretty inciteful
I personally always race road in iracing and never been into oval, but after finding your chanel ive gotten very intrested into oval. So due to you im planning to go for oval racing for 1 month and try to get to C class or B because oval sounds like a blast thanks to you.
It was really awesome getting to work with you earlier this year and you’ve been a big help for me and inspiration this year. I hope you keep succeeding Justin, the only way is up from here
Thank you for all your help!
i really think you have an excellent personality for the content you make and that's the real reason you've done well. you seem like a super nice person with just the right amount of nerd.
Right amount of nerd I should trademark 🤣🤣🤣
‘Twas no accident, if you kept with it for all these years. Nice job and I hope for nothing but the more success in the future. Congratulations!
Really cool of you to give insight at this sort of stage in a youtubers journey. Its all wonderful when someone with a million subscribers or more gives insight, but that's so far down the line, its nice to see some perspective from someone that's much earlier in the process.
A video idea: your opinion on what to do with all the unused cars or low population racing series in the official Iracing lists.
I look forward to what you put out in 2024.
Hmmmm that’s a good idea. I had an idea I put in some video that I liked where iracing creates a “battlepass” for underused cars where it becomes free for a season and if you complete the season you keep the car
Just keep doing it because you enjoy it. Not worth doing if you make it feel like a job. Good stuff my man
Gengar in the background approves
Started watching with the ARCA track guides a few years ago. You did a really great job of transitioning your content to other things to keep it fresh and interesting. Thanks for teaching me how to drive the ARCA car!!! I am curious if you still do as much iRacing these days?
I’ve only raced once or twice a week recently, but I spend a ton of time of track still doing guides, lessons, and recording sessions
I subbed after the Iceberg video 😅
Well done 👏👏👏
Congradts
I am a road driver but anyway I like your videos because you are sympathic. Greetings from Germany ❤❤
Thank you I appreciate it 😁
That mavis livery is so good
Great job, it must be difficult to get a new channel off the ground in this day and age and this channel is flying.
Yeah a tiny part of me regrets not starting in 2019-2020 but hey can only look forward
Guess you wouldn't be a true number-cruncher if you weren't looking at the analytics thinking 'well it's good, but, what would the numbers have been if I'd started during Covid...' :) Then again, the crucial thing is that you actually did it mate. Onwards and upwards as we say, you deserve all the success for the effort invested into it.@@DJYeeJay
Changing my subscription notification to all just so I can get every single video. You work wayyy too hard to not get the click watch and the like man!
That helps me so much man hahahaha thanks!
See you all on the track!!
Hey that’s my line!!!
Well UA-cam pushed you to me today, hadn't come across you before. Seeing as you are talking income from videos, I would like to know the difference in earnings between ads and Premium members such as me. And a new sub as well :)
Best way to start, is just get to it. No one cares how bad your early videos are. And remember, a lot of people like to see path of someone else, so long as you are not boring to watch
I don't iRace, I don't have any desire to get iRacing. I play automoblista 2 on controller. I don't care about stock car racing. DESPITE all this I still love your content and personality, keep it up!
That makes me so happy to hear! Thanks man
Talking UA-cam $ is just another example of you being the man! What’s your day job?
I’m an engineer for my day job
Im just commenting to let youtube know this is a good video 🤙🏻
and i did find you through ARCA guides as well
I still do them over on Maconi's channel!
Dang , eleven big ones would buy some pretty nice sim racing equipment :)
I’m holding out because some company HAS to send me something soon….. right?
Thanks for all the insight, fellow nerd!
Also, I heard financial advice videos are better monetized. Thanks for the financial advice.
Ads on financial type vids pay a TON apparently like Graham Stephen’s cpm is insane
Good video, you seem to have a knack for this sort of thing. If only you were as good at ARCA as you are at analysing things 😉
Sorry, just joking! In all seriousness, I came here because you were the only iRacing oval guy that UA-cam would recommend for me. And even watching everything you’ve put out since I was first recommended your channel over 6 months ago, I’ve still not had any other oval guys recommended to me via the UA-cam rabbit hole.
And yeah, I watch every short video of yours that show up in my feed. Shorts actually annoy the fuck out of me, but yours are structured brilliantly, like a mini video that you’d normally release as a 15 minute essay. Using your schooling for this is a great idea, well done. I think the hardest part would be coming up with ideas, so I hope you have a notebook filled with them where you won’t run out any time soon.
Keep it up my guy, all the best for the next 12 months ✌️
Im kinda washed at racing ngl thats why i gotta pivot to content creation!!
Ya shorts can really annoy me too I basically do shorts on topics too small for its own video. I don’t actually have a notebook for ideas (that’s up to date at least) because honestly my ideas have been slowing down lately so every time I get a good one it’s out asap haha
How do the Maconi track guides do for you? What is the split there? Between this, that, and the private lessons you are damn near putting in full time hours. What's your main gig?
I get paid per week from Maconi but also I want those videos to be out there so the money isn’t like huge or anything. The iracing hours I’d say is hmmmm maybe 20 at most a week? Not horrible. I’m an engineer by trade
Btw please do a "evolution of iracing" video :)
I have something similar brewing
I’m thinking about starting to make NASCAR Videos doing random silly races (multiclass nascar & open wheel racing on iracing, taking nascar to random tracks on assetto corsa and stuff like that) but i have no idea where/how to start, what software to use for recording & editing and so on
I had no idea when I was starting as well the best thing you can do is just start. I use Geforce Experience and OBS to record footage and Davinci Resolve to edit, it's all free. Davinci has a pretty steep learning curve but you can find youtube tutorials on basically everything you'd ever want to do.
@@DJYeeJay bet I appreciate the advice hopefully at some point I can get big enough that we can colab 🤩🤩
Your videos made me interested in oval racing (originally I'm a road racing fan, mostly GT's) and even though it seemed quite confusing at first, I managed to stick with it, that is until I've tried XFINITY series and their full coarse yellow cautions, which sounds good on paper, but they aren't executed as well as in F1, simplest crash ends up being a full coarse caution, I know that it is my personal opinion and I will try cup just to see if it's as bad.. But then I remembered, you're an Arca farmer! they don't have full coarse yellows and I do prefer smaller tracks compared to speedway's, could I expect that Arca usually run smaller ovals than XFINITY or Cup cars? And maybe there is something else, that I should know before dipping my toes into it?
Sorry for the long post 😅
Arca runs a similar schedule to the other nascar series. I really do prefer no caution races like when Xfinity had caution free races for week 13 I loved racing those. I acknowledge that the full course yellows are the more “authentic” experience but no cautions is just more fun for me haha
@@DJYeeJay thank you for your reply, I'll be looking forward to your videos that gives more understanding about it to the newbies, just as myself. At least you have women and older drives from time to time, unlike F1, giving an impression that at least to some extent oval racing is still somewhat of a blue collar racing compared to other motosports
So all I need to do is get 25k subs and upload regularly to get 10k per year. Wish my video editor was working properly.
It's interesting.
I might have missed it, but what's the time requirement just to create for your own enjoyment and not trying to optimize/expand/profit?
Can you do a video about shutting off the car to save fuel ? Does it work...? How much of an advantage can you gain ?

Do you think that I could grow my channel by playing Forza Motorsport or doing irl racing? I don’t have Iracing so i was just curious
Forza should have a viewer base but race replay videos are pretty hard to get your foot in the door something like challenges or something unique is way more likely to get traction off the bat
@@DJYeeJay yeah, that makes sense. Thank you bro for the advice! also keep up the good work, I really enjoy your videos bro
ngl its a bit discomforting seeing how perverse the system of youtube really is. and to be clear, that's not a slight against you, obv I enjoy your content and I think you're a pretty genuine guy from what I can tell. specifically the part about info in shorts being laid out in a specific way kinda irks me, maybe I'm reading into it too much XD I'm a stats nerd too so I get it, it just feels strange how on both the creator and consumer ends compromises are made for the benefit of youtube in ways that aren't necessarily transparent.
Yep it’s all about keeping attention of the most average person if that makes sense
can someone tell me what all the fans are for on the back of the offroad trucks?
I have no clue lol
Oooh oooh oooh FIRST!!
Legend
Chase elliot?
so who won this darn truck race?
Meeeee
Your content should be hid behind a paywall, if im being honest. Thanks yeej
