THIS is exactly the video I was needing regarding how to use a kemper with a cab live. Thank you for making it so clear and simple!

Dude you rock, you now land one of the best reviews for this unit out there! Spot on!
I use it daily! That is Two bands I play for with different styles ..I need lots of sounds and effects! I also play worship Hillsong, Elevation, Bethel..so go figure! Awesome unit in the studio as well! I own and PRS24 Custom, a T5zPro and a custom Fender signature guitar with humbucker bridge pickup. My next guitar would be a Gretsch Penguin. Basically , if you own a Kemper, get yourself a do it all guitar and you are set to tour! Anyone out there doing heavy work with music needs this baby ! Go Kemper!

Holy shit thank you so much for this video. I have been on the fence about Kemper live until I saw Alkaline Trio!
When you said the same thing about Trio I was sold.
Thank you for explaining how it works live!

Just got myself a Kemper Rack! Yes, financially it is definitely a little heavy BUT it solves so many issues.
You can basically plug & play at any venue - all you need is a USB with a backup of your profiles in case the Kemper crashes (which only happens like once in a blue moon - if ever).
Thx for your video - helped me to make a decision!
    Cheers Bro!

Thanks bro'. Just one question: What speakers have you found best in your guitar cabs? I'm learning towards Celestion 150W (per cab) G12H Redbacks, any thoughts? Thanks again.

New Kemper user here...quick question if you have time and inclination to respond...I also have been using my Kemper with a guitar cabinet for live playing (i've AB'd it both ways and it sounds better to my ear with the guitar cab and the profiled cabinet left "on" for some reason).... but to date I have yet to use the Kemper direct to FOH using the "main outs" on the back of the Kemper...I have just mic'd my guitar speaker with an sm57 to run FOH...our band runs our own sound and we use EV ZLX 15's and their matching subs for our front of house speakers...herein lies my question...I see all these videos and recommendations about running Kemper to FOH direct from the back of the unit....but won't the FOH speakers also color the tone coming direct from the Kemper? Or are most FOH speakers (like the EV's mentioned )designed to be FRFR or something similar?

Hey thanks for watching! So most pa speakers won’t color the sound. It would basically be an accurate representation of the the head and cab profile. I myself just have them mic my cab live though. I have never ran direct. Cheers bud!

@@HomeRecordingNetwork Thanks for the response. I think you meant to say "It WOULD be an accurate representation of the head and cab profile" by running to FOH...but if I misunderstood please advise.

@@HomeRecordingNetwork No worries and thanks for taking the time to respond. Interesting that we both currently go against the "conventional wisdom" and use a mic'ed guitar amp for live play vs FRFR and straight to FOH...good to know I have good company in my thought process. Cheers!

@@mikemurphy5716 no problem bud! I think a lot of people are like us. We just don’t want to get away from the old fashion way of doing things haha. It would be strange not having a cab behind us. 😉
