Adam, the lead guitarist wrote most of this while he was going through a really dark time. Will also contributed some to the writing based on his own experience. The entire album Will describes as what it's like to experience waking dreams. The album concludes with this trilogy as an homage to living with grief and life not feeling real because of it.
The trilogy was Adam going through what he describes as "his lowest point in life". Their producer said that he was in his room with "leave me the fuck alone" sign on the door writing through depression.

Will said he tired of deathcore not having emotion anymore and wanted to make people feel something. He said it in the interview with niknocturnal

i saw that interview. amazing but harsh stuff...
Deathcore had emotion before, but was not sad boys bullshit and molodic stuff. It was more like Death Metal anger and disgusted. I really love Lorna Shore and these melodic Deathcore, but I just don't get it people trash talking about old-school Deathcore, bunch of fake fans that will not listen after the hype it's done

I really hope you have the lyrics pulled up because holy shit, they're heavy. In the first one the lyrics were "The face behind the silhouette, in this world I made to be infinite! But within the expense, I finally see; a world without you isn't meant for me!"

It makes me even more sad knowing so many people who hate Metal without ever even listening to it and just judging it on the screaming will never experience 3 of the greatest songs ever created
I'd like to think my grandma if she was still around, God rest her soul would be this supportive of music like this.

Wills performance is truly phenomenal. I’ve never had an experience with metal core where I’m left truly in tears. Not only will but the rest of the band, I felt every emotion in the strings to the drums, pain remain trilogy is something that’s indescribable

Ive seen this video dozens of times and listened to it even more then that but for some reason I cried more watching you two see it then the first time I saw it.

So this trilogy of songs was written by many have stated about the guitarist/lead songwriters deepest darkest moments in his life which hit during the writing of this album. He touches upon it in an interview as a time he doesn't know he could have made it out of without his friends in the band. The lyrical content is inspired by an anime according to Will in another interview. He says he cannot remember the name of it but it is the story of a side character in it which usually no one likes. As the story goes on you discover this person is depressed because she has fallen in love with someone in her dreams. Her depression is due to the fact she realizes it can never be real

There is a reason Metal music is the best genre.
The skill levels.
The emotions and meanings.
There is a reason metal listeners are through sciences proved to be the least violence, most helpful music groups.
The music is filled with emotions. hard topics. truths.
So that leads to peoples showing emotions, talking about emotions. sharing. and getting things out. Its not bottled up inside.
In many other genres, emotions and being different is often made fun of in the music. and people are called out if they show them.
And fans in those genres are. again through sciences proved to generally be more prone to violence, and destructive behavior.

Honestly I'm glad this trilogy was made cause too many people kept saying they weren't releasing much with legitimate emotion but this trilogy took those comments and slapped them with rain, snow and fire.
You’re 100% correct. My son, Granny Jeff, my grandson & Granny Haze grandson saw them live in Detroit a couple of weeks ago & my son said it was absolutely mind blowing. I think Lorna Shore is just given us the tip of the iceberg of what they’re capable of & the the trilogy is still a masterpiece. Keep on rocking babies. ✌🏻🖤🎶🤘🏻

Yeah I’m glad I haven’t watched the whole thing through in one sitting. This is too much for me to just watch all at once. I know it’s meant to be listened to all at once but the beauty of music is that everyone can listen to it in their own way and for the purpose of my mental health (and not to binge watch all of this) I haven’t watched it all.
It’s so raw and heavy. And yet it’s beautiful too. That’s what I love about music is that it can be all of these things. But all of this is too close to home for me with my history of trauma. I’ll probably watch the last one tomorrow.

I love the reactions to this MASTERPIECE of a trilogy of the deathcore genre! You two remind me so much of my beloved Grandmother, she loved the Classics and oldies. Not like yall, but the way yall converse is a whole lot like her. I lived with my grandma for at least a decade growing up, she was a like a second mother, being so she was very curious about the music I was playing in my ears all the time lmao. So I played a very old, tiny bit softer deathcore/metalcore song by My Bitter End and I asked her what she was feeling/hearing, lol she said it sounded like music being played backwards.. I'll never forget the laughs we shared about her comment. I would trade 5 years off of my life to be able to share this trilogy with her and spend at least a day with her lol but I'll gladly take just sharing this with her. Thank you for letting me live vicariously through yall, it warms my heart to see two amazing ladies, who resemble all sorts of aspects of one of the most amazing woman of my life, enjoying such beautiful music.

Actually, we did do the whole trilogy back to back but parts 1&3 were blocked……OF COURSE. As you can see now though, Granny Jeff managed to get them unblocked for us & they’re now up. Thank goodness for Granny Jeff. Keep on rocking babies. ✌🏻🎶🤘🏻🖤

Why have these ladies do this with the official video rather than a lyrics video. As a huge metal fan, I can't even tell everything being said, but what is actually being said is very deep and tragic in this trilogy. At least get them a Lyrics video.

Because the videos are part of the music. A lyric video will not be the same emotionaly. They can have lyrics open also on another screen of they want too.
The “first” time we view a video, & when we do a reaction, it’s almost ALWAYS our first viewing of it, we don’t want to spend the entire time “reading” the lyrics. We want to experience the emotion of the video, the music & the artists first of all. We usually go back later & check out the lyrical aspect of the video. It’s just how we prefer to do it.
