The symbolism of the videos is incredible too. First one is rain (tears,sad), second is snow (cold, numb, frozen) third is fire (rage, anger). Such a good trilogy. On the album they actually flow into eachother and you can't tell when the songs change. The whole album is a master piece when played from start to end. The whole album is a story of grief. Probably the best production on an album ive ever heard. They are the only deathcore i listen too as well. Not really my genre. But they are something special. And pretty addictive 😍

The pain remains trilogy was created by the guitar player who has done the solos in each song, he wrote the pain remains trilogy because he was dealing with depression and writing the pain remains trilogy as a why to deal with his depression.
Also along the lines of slowing down and speeding up: I love the fact at the "This Fucking World Disintegrates" and adrenaline inducing tempo change on the cut draws you in to the emotion of the guy.
the abrupt ending is because it is played as one continuous song and it's just cut into 3 parts
it's also symbolic in how quickly life can end, particularly in part i

if you play all 3 songs back to back to back, the abrupt endings smoothly transition into the next song
Once i watch the last one I’m gonna have to rewatch all three together to get the full effect for sure.

You are doing well training your ears. It’s something that can only happen with continued exposure. I’m still working on it myself, but continual listening along with making my own attempts at some of this style of vocal work, it’s getting easier
You should check out a lyric video to one of there songs you can hear the words. Lorna shore- welcome back sleeping dreamer, is a great one.
Good video. The break in the songs I think it may be because when you listen to the 3 together, the 3 are linked in those breaks, the break at the end of part 1 connects with the riff of the second part and the cut of the second part connects with the beginning of the third part.

The sudden ends makes sense tho. In the first she dies suddenly while saying goodbye. In the second we are to believe he died so it ends suddenly. The last one has a long outro as he burns In a Sea of flames

It's all one song in three parts which is why the ends seem so abrupt.
