- Yu Yu Hakusho: Forever is set at the events of the Dark Tournament. Although a great deal of time was spent fighting in the tournament, it appears only a day has passed in the human world. As Yusuke and his friends return home they discover a man named Sensui plans on destroying the Earth by making his right hand man Itsuki open the demon plane into the human plane. After defending the world from destruction, Yusuke and his friends join the Demon World Tournament to fight the Three Kings.

The English dub is God-AWFUL, by the way. Only nostalgia could possibly defend it... I shiver at the thought.
After seeing Yusuke, Hiei and Toguro appear in the J-Star Victory game I'd LOVE to see the original Yu Yu show remastered and put on crunchyroll or have a game made like this one but for the X1 and PS4! Hell, I'd even take it on the Wii U if it meant it got made!

LunarChibi Shaman King was heavily influenced by Yu Yu Hakusho and Jojo's Bizarre Adenture (Part 3: Stardust Crusaiders) and I would say it is the spirtual predecessor of BLEACH.Bleach kinda took Shaman King's route. But HUNTERXHUNTER and ONE PIECE share also some similarities like the legendary "role" of the Pirate King in One Piece.Shaman King basically is about Shamans who team up with ghosts and/or spirits of the nature. and their goal is to win in the Shaman Fight(is every 500 years) and to become the next Shaman king, unify with with the King of spirits/ghosts to do........and Yoh Asakura is the chilled protagonist with the orange headphones who likes to listento Reggae. his guardian ghost is Amidam,aru, a japanese samurai but there is also a chinise warrior, the great spirit of fire, the spirits of the northern lands the Kolupokulu and the green-skinned lizard thiev Tokageroh and so on.

This is one of the reasons I prefer YYH to DBZ. You've got your basic energy blasts sure, but many special attacks are more than that. i.e. Kurama's Petals and thorns, Kuwabara's sword attacks, and of course, Hiei's DraGON of the Darkness FLAME!

I always appreciated the show for not 100% relying on energy blasts and most of teh time reverting to hand-to-hand combat.
I was like...
"Yusuke, how dare you do that to Kuwabara!? He's your best friend!"

I did play this Game for the GBA
They made a mistake with Mukuro. She has different and much stronger techniques.
1. A martial arts back flip and do a powerful spirit kick on the neck behind the opponent. (Looks exactly like Jaden Smith Karate finisher)
2. "Goku teleport" directly in front of the opponent, palm attack at chest. Point blank energy thrust
3. Kind of like a Red Kamehama but instead of a laser, it's lightning (used to kill Hiei's dragon)
I did A LOT of research of how the fight would look like between Mukuro and Yomi, after the fight with Yusuke and Yomi.

Hiei's dragon of the darkness sword that cuts through anything except dimensions and territories. Excellent choice. Mines is always the spirit gun.

+LordShonenShinigamiRikudou862 if you're talking about that form when he is green and covered in eyes they took that away when they changed his character. originally he was only supposed to be a joke first villain but was so cool they decided to bring him into the main characters. That's also why he goes from being a loud typical villain that gets beat pretty easily to the quiet badass that almost nobody can stop
I do understand your point actually. Hiei does have a transformation where he consumes the Dragon of the Darkness Flame and basically have a body strength of Super Saiyan 4.
