Brad Haddin's contribution in Ashes 2013 is the most under appreciated performances I have ever come across. Largely overshadowed by Mitch Johnson's 37 wickets.
He was recalled back to the team for Ashes 2013 and scored runs whenever the team was in trouble. Behind the scenes, his daughter was battling cancer and fought through those emotions.
Haddin ended with 50+ in 6 out 8 innings and finished with 493 runs in 5 test match series @61.63

Brad haddin to me was one of the best wicket keeper batsman that I have come across. For him it was much more difficult since he needed to come out of Gilchrist's shadow. But he did well both with the bat and the gloves.

Very possibly the two dullest, monotone cricket commentators today, though they have very tough competition with little 'I hold a grudge' mike haysman and Vernon 'yuh' Philander. But it appears the latter two have not had their commentary contracts renewed...fingers crossed.
