WORLD BAMBOO DAY

Hosting such event made our Municipality a future travel destination if you want to witness and see different types and kinds of bamboos. Tuburan Bamboo Kingdom is now a home of more than 20 species of Bamboos. From iron bamboo, sacred valley, giant bamboo and more are now growing at the mountain area of Kabangkalan, Tuburan, Cebu. Last September 17, 2022 the placed became the location of the World Bamboo Day celebration, almost 5000 participants joined together to plant 11,000 bamboo trees. People from different regions and municipalities came and took their share of planting bamboo trees and it carries tag with their names printed. They can visit their bamboo tree anytime as it seems they own it. Aside from planting bamboos, you can also pass through our Black Bamboo Tunnel with a distance of almost 2 kilometers.
It will be an activity the whole year round.
