im assuming thats an ar15 platform, so, the 5.56x45mm round would rip right through the body armour and wouldnt magically stop, oh and the bullet would rip through the body as well so there would have to be exit wound blood splatter added.

Well, he had ballistic protection, and an ar 15 doesen't pass throuth impact easily, and there are bones muscles and more body tissue that could stop the bullet when at point blank.
