I've been watching the show for a while now, and I can honestly say: my favorite Sean quality is his empathy. He always equals his guest when they say something about the spice. He never makes them feel inadequate, almost like saying "I am feeling the same way right now". I think that is my favorite aspect of the show. The questions? UBER THOUGHTFUL. But the empathy? WORLD CLASS.

Most conflicted I have been with a Hot Ones. I have heard Gwyneth is the sweet person, fun and kind. So many celebrities have sincerely praised her like Jack Black as a quick example.
Yet I am critical of her business due to the products sold by them. Ultimately I believe folks should be able to live how they wish. I shouldn't judge others for their choices.
I still watched the show, liked it and enjoyed it. Just uncomfortable with incorrect pseudoscience stuff sold to many.
    Definitely a great interview.

I can understand the reasoning behind this post. Personally I couldn't care less about skin products or anything else she is selling. Still, even if what she is selling doesn't work as well as promoted (or at all), that doesn't make her much different from most of the other celebrities selling or promoting beauty products. From what I understand, she clearly promotes healthy lifestyle habits as well, which I think is commendable.
You don't get to look this amazing at 50 years old by just doing good skincare, nor can you do it with cosmetic surgery. You need actual health, good sleeping and eating routines, you need enough excercise and a balanced mental health to go with it. None of that is bad for anyone, nor is it pseudoscience.

Editing on this show is AMAZING! It plays a huge role in communicating the whole on set experience to the watchers through the screen. Besides Sean, the background music with well timed sound effects, make me keep coming back for this show! Absolute favourite! ❤️ Brilliant show-making skills!

      Editing was SO good.
Just 1 example (of many): When she breathes out, the editing to make it look like she was fogging up a mirror or window... (perfect, enough to enjoy it, but not overkill).

I think it has never been that people hasn't liked her personality or anything, but it's her controversial business and out of touch/borderline dangerous health advice. Her company, Goop, has been sued a few times now for deceptive claims. She seems nice, and I always loved her movies but I do not like her ethics. I think she's irresponsible.

I think people were mostly criticizing her because of her controversial and dangerous health advice. She reminds me of Will Smith. He's a very chill guy to conversate with but you would never expect him to be that much of a push over with his relationship.

Testament to hot ones. They can make anyone look so chill and likable. Tbh, I’m really surprised she comes off so real and nice here. I like her low makeup, non overly botoxed (lizard like) she looks here.

Thank you for this. I confess, I was taken in by all the jokes people make about Goop products. I loved Gwyneth Paltrow in Shakespeare in Love, but I wasn't a fan anymore. And then I saw this production, where she let a few curse words fly and explained her business in a completely rational way. I not only felt guilty for snickering at Goop, but I fell in love with the actress again. I'm going to check her IMDB page and have a little G.P. film fest here, catching up with her career and appreciating her once more. Thank you so much for bringing her to Hot Ones. She was clever, self-deprecating, funny, charming, sweet, and smart. What's not to love?
