- Eagles can be difficult birds to train to fly free, that includes Steppes Eagles like Athena shown in the thumbnail. Ryan delivers a great update on how the eagle training is going, along with some behind the scenes notes from the advent owl fact calendar, the stress involved with taking on too much whilst growing a business and the future of this UA-cam channel.
Glad youre thinking about how to make your work more sustainable!
USA'er here, so I guess i'm contributing to that analytic lol. Athena is beautiful, and seems like such a character. Love seeing the personalities of different raptors/birds of prey! I love the advent calendar owl facts too, even though i knew a few of them (from watching a great horned owl camera) a lot of them I didn't!
As a business owner myself, i learned in a very unpleasant way that I need to take time out for myself! Just make your own space once in a while for some self care. As someone who lives in a very rural area, one of our neighbors runs their 4x4 around and makes loud revving noises too. Young people, they think it's cool! lol
Merry Christmas and happy new year to you as well!
Hi, thank you for such a wonderful comment. I have been taking a couple of days off in the last couple of weeks and spending time with my loved ones more, it has definitely helped. I can't sit and relax and watch a movie on my own but when I'm with my partner it's so easy and helps me to unwind. There are only so many hours in the day.
I'm pleased your enjoying all the content and it did make me smile about you having a noisy neighbour too. Merry Christmas to you.
@@owladventuresuk You're welcome! If you ever do any comparisons between US and UK owls/birds of prey like you were talking about, I'd be curious to know if UK owls also have that one "toe" on their feet that can also switch forwards and backwards to help with balance, gripping, etc. The concept to me is so neat (learned about this in a video on owl feet)
@@spiercephotography Hi, that's a good idea, thank you
“The Eagle ate my homework.”
I'm going to let me kids use that excuse at least once.
Do you have a Snowy Owl ? I think Santa needs a companion.
We don't although I have worked with them before.
