sheffield city/uni vlog i want to apply this year and worried about lack of diversity and dont wna feel alienated and cos theres no open days!! would be super appreciated x
khadija akhtar from what i’ve seen so far sheffield is very diverse, there are lots of people from all kinds of different cultures & ethnicity’s in the city & the uni itself is a little less so, as (disappointingly) seems to be the trend with university. there are societies for different cultures, languages, religions & ethnicitys that many students enjoy. obviously as a white person my experience with diversity is not necessarily super accurate and the same as a person of colour’s, but from what i’ve observed so far- i hope this helps xx

I’d love to know how much ur accommodation is monthly, I’m looking to apply to Uni of Sheffield and would much prefer a studio but some unis make the rent insanely high for them! Ur studio is stunning though, I honestly didn’t think they’d be this nice!

it was just the right thing for me, i think i would’ve really struggled in a shared flat, but i still have made lots of friends and socialised everyday so don’t worry aha xx
@@CharlotteVictoriaBeeden im a final year and this year im in a studio, and I was in shared in first year. Studios are way better, especially with covid you are massively reducing your risk of catching the virus in a studio. GOOD LUCK!

Hey pinkaspink Ik I’m not Charlotte but I can try to help if you like! Try your best to prioritise homework and keep it concise so you do not waste too much of your time bc you need to balance school with doing things you love and with loads of sleep! As long as you’re trying your best you are doing amazing! If you have a safe home environment then make sure to separate this from school and make it your happy place! I agree there are so many mean people in school and if you see or experience something they do which is upsetting for you or another person report them to your form tutor and ask your tutor to keep you anonymous bc for some reason these people also have a problem with you doing the right thing by reporting bullying. Hope this helps please ask me if you need any in-particular advice I also had a hard time settling into year 7 when I had joined so am going by experience💗

pinkaspink YT Try to make friends and just talk to people even if your scared. Priorities homework and school but you can have fun and relax especially since you don’t have any super important exams! Remember you can always talk to someone if you’re struggling with making friends or settling in but eventually it will feel normal and you’ll be fine. Try to ignore the mean people and not get affected if they say anything mean- if you are getting bullied talk to someone! Hope this helped 💖

For something as nice as that it won't be cheap, I'd imagine £200 a week as the bare minimum

1:54 this made me happy because I have four stuffed animals called Montgomery Phillips, Gregory and Frederick and I always felt that would be weird if I was 18 and brought a stuffed toy in university, but this video has made me feel less weird about having a stuffed animal. Thank you🩷🩷
