1995 yılında hizmete giren ve 2005 yılında ikinci yatırım aşaması tamamlanan Mercedes - Benz Türk Hoşdere Otobüs Fabrikası dünyanın en modern otobüs fabrikalarından biridir.
Araç kalitesi açısından büyük önem taşıyan ve paslanmaya karşı üstün koruma sağlayan katoforez tesisi (KTL) Türkiye'de otobüs üretiminde bir ilk olma özelliğini taşımaktadır. Hoşdere Fabrikası'nda fabrikanın enerji ihtiyacını karşılayan bir kojenerasyon merkezi bulunmaktadır.
Hoşdere Otobüs Fabrikası, gerek seçilen teknoloji ve sistemler açısından, gerekse alınan özel önlemler ve arıtma tesisleri ile çevre koruma açısından da örnek bir tesistir. Mercedes-Benz Türk bugün otobüs üretiminde yaklaşık 2.400 personel (31.12. 2010 itibariyle) istihdam etmektedir.
Şehirlerarası otobüsler Travego, Intouro ve Tourismo ile şehiriçi otobüsü Conecto Hoşdere Fabrikası'nda üretilmektedir.
Tüm uluslararası kalite standartlarına uygun olan bu otobüslerin % 75'i başta Batı Avrupa ülkeleri olmak üzere 73 ülkeye ihraç edilmektedir.
Yıllık üretim kapasitesi 4000 otobüs olan Hoşdere Otobüs Fabrikası'nda toplam €340 milyon tutarında yatırım yapılmıştır. Fabrika, 360.000 m²'lik bir arazi üzerinde 127.000 m² kapalı alana sahiptir.
Mercedes-Benz Türk'ün Ar&Ge Merkezi de Hoşdere Otobüs Fabrikası alanında yer alır. Daimler'in dünya çapındaki araştırma geliştirme ağının önemli bir parçası haline gelen bu merkezde otobüs ve kamyon geliştirme çalışmaları yapılmaktadır.

DaimlerChrysler AG is currently manufacturing buses and coaches under the brand 'Mercedes-Benz' in Turkey. Mercedes-Benz Türk was established in Istanbul in 1967, it started the production of O 302 type buses in 1968.
In 1970, only 2 years after its foundation, the company started to export buses, over 12,600 buses have been exported to date. In 1984 the company was appointed as the general representative of Mercedes-Benz in Turkey, added with new partners to the enterprise and started a new investment necessary for production of trucks. In 1986, parallel to the growth potential of Turkey, the truck plant started production in Aksaray. In November 1990 the company name was changed to Mercedes-Benz Türk A.Ş.
Due to increasing export activities Mercedes-Benz Türk built a new bus plant in Hosdere/Istanbul, which became active in December 1994. Since its foundation Mercedes-Benz Türk has sold approximately 36,000 buses, 50,000 trucks and 1,000 midibuses from its own production in addition to 20,000 cars since 1989 when the company activated the importation of passenger cars. Mercedes-Benz Türk currently produces intercity and municipality buses at Hosdere/Istanbul, and light and heavy duty trucks at the Aksaray plant.
Mercedes-Benz Türk is the first company in the Turkish primary automotive industry to get the ISO 9002 quality certificate, obtained in 1994 for Aksaray and ISO 9001 quality certificate, obtained in 1995 for Hosdere/Istanbul production plants.
Furthermore Mercedes-Benz Türk has the certificate for ISO 14001 environment management standards since May 2000 and the certificate for ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 16949 since March 2002.

Im Werk Hosdere ist die komplette Omnibus-Produktion der Mercedes-Benz Türk A.S. vom Rohbau bis zur Fertigmontage ab sofort an einem Ort konzentriert. Hohe Produktivität und vor allem Qualität auf höchstem internationalen Niveau waren die obersten Ziele bei der Neugestaltung des Werkes. Dazu trägt auch die erste KTL- Anlage (Kathodischen Tauchlackierung) für Omnibusse in der Türkei. Im Zuge des Werkausbaus entstand außerdem ein modernes Entwicklungs- und Versuchszentrum, in dem spezifische Kundenwünsche in der Serie umgesetzt werden bzw. neue Produkte entwickelt werden. DaimlerChrysler hat in der Türkei damit in den letzten zehn Jahren ca. 150 Mio. EUR im Omnibusbereich investiert.
"Das Werk Hosdere hat sich als "Center of Competence" im europäischen Entwicklungs- und Produktionsverbund für Omnibusse bestens etabliert (wie den deutschen Werken in Mannheim und Neu-Ulm). Die Mercedes-Benz Türk A.S. produziert im erweiterten Werk Hosdere auf einer überbauten Fläche von 115.000 Quadratmetern Stadt-, Überland und Reisebusse "Made by Mercedes-Benz". Die Mercedes-Benz Omnibusse werden an sechs Tagen pro Woche gefertigt und erfüllen internationalen Qualitätsstandards. 60 % - 70 % der Omnibusse aus türkischer Produktion werden exportiert, in weltweit 70 Länder.

Sen yapmazsan onlar yapar. Parçaları dışardan getir, Türkiyede teknoloji üretebilecek kapasiteye sahip insanları bize göre çok onlara göre az maaşlarla istihdam et hem işin kaymağını ye hemde Türkiyede bu sektörün gelişmesini engelle. Çok zeki insanlarsınız ne yapacağınızı biliyorsunuz ama merak etmeyin bize de sıra gelir elbet.
