I still code knockout js today because my project still support ie6 user.
Tbh, ok is obsoleted framework, please use modern framework instead today.
Vue / Nuxt and Svelte / Svelte Kit are my favourites!
When it comes to Magento you are forced since the whole checkout is in KnockoutJS mostly. Once you really look into it, you will realize that the modern frameworks really borrowed a lot from KO. look at Angular, Vue and React, look at how the two way data binding is implemented.
