Great video, the old international Drott BTD 6 loader changed earth moving in this country when introduced in 1958 for good, they were made under licence in Rubery Owen , Warrington until 1970s later becoming the B100 together with the Barber Greene range on pavers, Drott was an American company and made the loader assemblies, I produced a model of these machines ( 19RB ) and Benford dumper + cement mixer for Langley models some years ago...
I like the jcb sitemasters love working with it and i think that all boys and girls should have a go of all plan so they can have some happy memories of the plan
Poor Charles. Maybe he needs to invest in adult sized baby reigns to stop Lawrie running away to play. We have a fun tracked vehicle at work made by Toro called a Dingo. Its a small tracked front loader which many attachments can be fitted to it.
@@lmm Oh, so it's a similar situation to how everyone calls hook-and-loop fastener velcro, where every brand of a thing get's called by a singular brand name instead of their generic name?
Hi Sam. I have to add that we call it a JCB, because it was JCB (joseph Bamford) who invented it. Then "you guys" made similar machines presumably under license, and had to call them back hoes, because well they weren't actually jcb.
You're the first person in over 33 years I've heard use the word Drot. When I left school I worked in a classic car garage with a man about my age as I am now who said he worked on things called Drots. Being the days before the internet I thought he was taking the p but because I respected him I never pulled him about it, I was wrong.......sorry Alan (I doubt he'll still be with us though)
@@lmm haha, my youngest (11) is really into trains at the moment, so most weekends we pop down as it's literally our local just to watch the train, he'd like to volunteer at chasewater, but not old enough yet.
Charles looked so happy buying models
According to the DVLA that Weatherill digger was manufactured in 1972, first registered in 1983 and last registered in 1987! Great video by the way!
I really like how you kept getting distracted by heavy machinery.
i like seeing the clips of the museum, especially the cheeky pacer creeping into shot!
That ruston bucyrus clampshell excavator is so noice.
Old cable excavators are really great pieces of engineering.
The same make as the one on Diesel Creeks YT channel I wonder?
TY 🙏🙏
Nice things, well played with. Bravo!
Great video more plant and tractor videos would be amazing plus a few abandoned machines for get going an start ups would be cool
It would have been better if before Charles took a bite of his ice cream, Lawrie appeared and took the ice cream saying, "Is that for me".
What’s mad is that I live on the back of chase water so I hear the steam trains sometimes

Dozer was the best by far 😁

I didn't realize you brits called backhoes JCBs. You learn something new every day, I guess.
That's the company who are synonymous for building them

@@sambrown6426 pretty much it - the one at the start is a genuine JCB though

@@gs425 I didn't realize that, thank you. That's very interesting.
