I am starting my first garden and I felt overwhelmed to plant it all and get it right. This video calmed me a lot. I don’t have to try to be perfect and that stops me, I just have to try.

Oh my goodness, this channel is a godsend. I'm trying to grow food in a very small garden, too, for the first time (and it looks like you're also in Germany), so I'm taking a lot of notes here. Also wonderful to see someone else who's newish to gardening explore and experiment. I really resonate with this. And the amount of produce you manage to get out of that space is truly inspiring.

I like this video because it was nice to both listen to and look at. I hope my garden can be as nice and successful as yours. I'm just starting out sowing my first seeds. Your small space shows that anyone can grow their own food, you just have to start wherever you are and don't give up! Very encouraging message from you, and your voice is very nice in the delivery

Love your video.I plant crops that fail more often than they succeed.Recently i just stick to vegetables that work for me,easier crops like different varieties of beans, squashes, tomatoes, bananas and taro.I am inspired by your mantra which encourages one to try even if you fail.I also feel that gardening is so calming, therapeutic and excellent for your health that i would do it anyway, just to reap all those positive benefits. Please continue making your gardening videos, which serve to renew our enthusiasm every time we watch you.❤

You are probably in the US or even more likely in the UK. Beware of aminopyralides ! Your compost is super cheap and it is very convenient that it is nearby BUT if you get contaminated compost (hay, straw) or horse manure !!! or other manure onto your small garden, you can forget about growing anything but corn and other grasses (like rye, wheat). Always assuming you want to eat that. Herbacious plants do not tolerate that new herbicide out of hell (that is the point, farmers do not have to use work or knowledge to get rid of weeds in pastures. They can use it for all types of grasses - like wheat or corn. The weeds will of course become resistant. But in the mean time small gardeners, market gardeners and organic growers pay the price.
The straw or compost will still contain aminiopyralides. Even if there was a hot composting process, even if you let the compost rest on your property (you cannot do that, but other gardeners have that good habit and have the space for it. Does not help with aminopyralides. The only thing that gets rid of them: soil bacteria and time - or if you could spread out a thin layer and expose it to the sun and UV radiation. Which would of course kill all other life in it as well. Even IF one could do that work and had the space for it).
The herbicides passes the digestive tract of cows and it does not change it. It can also be in horse manure. Even if the horse do not eat grass from contaminated meadows. But they get straw into their boxes and that can be contaminated w/o the people using it even noticing.
Charles Dowding had even problems with compost he bought - and he tested every ! batch. These days he tries to switch more to wood chips to create compost.
