I cant see much of a difference, the blu ray set is twice as expensive so I’ll probably just go with dvd lol

Even though u dont see difference, blu ray looks better in details and the blu-ray discs are more.. durable idk, they cant break easily

Great comparison! No idea why anyone would buy the DVD when the Blu-ray exists - if you're already going out of your way to buy it on physical media, why get the worse version

True. Except honeslty for 2d handrawn animation such as Gravity Falls. The dvds look just fine. You cant really notice the difference from dvd to blu-ray. The art style is simple enough that not details are lost and theres no blurriness.

@@loloreel and to top that off many people do complain and beg for blu ray sets even though the studios mostly release dvd sets or don't make any at all for certain shows.

Exactly I would never buy DVD but when it comes to cartoon DVD versus blue ray it's the same thing pretty much.

I'm okay with the DVD version even it is "average" sharpness, the color and brightness may be the same.

Never a fan, but Blu-Ray hands down! Why settle for crappy 480i if you can spend extra and get the superior 1080p Blu-Ray? Well... Unless you are blind as a bat. DVD didn't aged too well in 2024.
