Hi, I’ll be working with these sheep soon and I’d love to know if you’ve worked with the work since making this video. Thanks!

I'm from Louisiana and me and my wife are looking for a good breed for our area. It seems these would be the ones.

Wont the long haired goats get hot in the florida sun?

This was certainly a concern of ours as well! Actually the lady who owns these mohair goats has decided to relocate them again to give them a more pet-quality level of attention, which is what they need. As much as we enjoyed them, they are now living with access to a barn with fans which is ideal!

You can always tell when folk just raised their so-called "Livestock guardian dog" as a house pet that got thrown outside after 6 months... Just like not every border collie chasing livestock in a field is automatically a herding dog, your pyrenees is not a livestock guardian dog simply because you throw him outside in a field with some animals.
My neighbor's "purebred AKC registered livestock guardian dog" spends most of its time getting into trashcans and begging to be let into a house as it was not actually raised as part of their livestock's "herd." These dogs look desperate to do the same, but they're stuck inside a fence. Lovely dogs, very sweet. But livestock guardians? Take the fences down and we'll see about that. Hope the same mistake isn't made with the next dogs in your herd.
