Hi buddy. I have tried to format the hard drive somany times, it does not format it only shows that formatting in progress. Please wait while decoder reboots but nothing happens. I waited for about 30 minutes the longest. Is there any troubleshooting i can try perhaps ?

Try to upgrade the decoder manually, off the decoder and reconnect the cables to check

How do you reset when the decoder does not successfully complete the scan? Recently it was cycling from the Welcome page through these steps to the scan page, but the scan would never complete.

Check the signal quality, if it's below 50% , adjust the satellite dish to get enough. If there's enough signal quality, off the decoder and reconnect every cable to check

My decoder just said my hard drive was corrup this morning and it needed to be formatted even after clicking format it didn't format
Then I followed you steps and when i do everything instead of it writing rebooting or something like that
Is still just writes loading and then it starts working but still with the same problem
What can I do?

I am experiencing the same issue. It keeps on saying Format in progress. Please wait while decoder reboots but nothing happens and i am still unable to have an access to catch up
Try to manually upgrade the decoder, off the decoder and reconnect the cables.
If there's no positive outcome, send the decoder to the nearest DStv Office for a check. If they have to change the decoder for you, they'll let you know

🙏🏾 Follow the right steps. Or the problem on your decoder does not need only a factory reset.

No. It didn't work. Tried this method and I also tried the P-P+P-P+ method and it didn't work
