Outstanding build ! Thank you for sharing ! What is the sprocket ratio and the size of the wheels ? I am building the same type of bike but with 28" wheels and Honda 160 + same CVT as yours. Thank you for your help ! I really need your feedback on the rear sprocket. Is it 420 type ?
Sorry for not answering so long. Thank you! I have a 10t and 44t sprockets on this bike. 415 chain, i made a standard tav30 cvt sprocket thinner for this chain. 26'' heels, 42mm wide rims and 26x2.35 Scwalbe Fat Frank tires.
This is one of my favorite board track frames! I really like it nice job! I’m planning on building mine soon, I have one question though, I was going over the comments and saw you answered about oil but my question is how much oil you put inside and how do you check it through the plugs? Is there a certain way to check because when vertical, oil will not drip like when it is place flat horizontal like it’s supposed to be, so how you check? And how much oil? It has to be more than the recommended when in normal orientation right? I believe this is one of the nicest renditions of board track I ever seen! Thank you for sharing! 🙏🏼
Hi. Thank you. I use a level a little close to the crankshaft, and yes, it is more than the recommended when in normal orientation. Don't khow how correct it is, but have no problems with it. I consulted about it with a man who built btr replica with the same engine position, when i was building my bike. I check the level with a strip of cardboard.
YOUR tank looks like mine😎my seat too resembles a lot. I shaved of my original seat post off.. And fabricated a tank on my frame (welded/unified). Awsome great work!
Made it by myself. At first I made model of valve cover with cardboard, then draw all parts in vector graphic programm (Corel Draw), and cut it with cnc from 2 and 6mm sheet aluminium, and put all parts together with four longer bolts to the head.
Very cool! I love how you did all the mods to the motor to make it look old. I plan on doing the same thing with my predator 670 based board track racer replica. the build is on my channel if you want to check it out.
Thanks! Many people have noted my aluminium valve cover, the making time was spent not in vain.) I checked your project, nice work with sheet metal. A gas tank shape is in Flying Merkel style. And i noticed the Fat Frank tires, like on my bike. These tires are very popular on motorized bicycles, and early style motorcycles.
Sad, but i didn't make photos or video of this process. At first I made model of valve cover with cardboard, then draw all parts in vector graphic programm (Corel Draw), and cut it with cnc from 2 and 6mm sheet aluminium, and put all parts together with four longer bolts to the head. Other bulding process i posted on my blog: petrograd-cycles.blogspot.com/
That looks extremely good however look good is all it is I would put that up on a picture frame somewhere and admire it because there ain't no way my Clumsy ass to get on that thing that open flywheel with you my shin to nothing yes it would

What an outstanding looking build. Great looking Bike! Sounds great as well I am curious how you build, or where you found that Round Head Valve cover for the GX200 Clone engine?
Thanks! At first I made model of valve cover with cartboard, then draw it in vector graphic (Corel Draw), and cut it with cnc programm from 2 and 6mm sheet aluminium, and put all parts together with four longer bolts to head.
Thank you for the reply. Outstanding work. I was hoping it was something available commercially! I have a GX200 clone I would love to do that type of cosmetic treatment too. Great build man, just outstanding. Do you have any videos of driving it? I am willing to bet with that CVT, it moves quite well.
Sad but i have only first test-drive video: ua-cam.com/video/VrJWiYXLCb8/v-deo.html Now i build a new project with 420cc clone, some go-kart racing mods and 40-series CVT, this is a chassis: ua-cam.com/video/x_GoUYiYwMA/v-deo.html For more information look my blog with my bike projecs and concept arts: petrograd-cycles.blogspot.ru/
I was curious too where the Head Valve cover came from. It most of these builds the engine looks just wrong but your work on the Head Valve Cover nails it. Good job!
It is standard Honda GX200 (clone) , with my modifications: vertical cylinder position, carb, exhaust, no governor, CVT, decorative aluminium vintage style valve cover.

nice bike just dont wear your bell bottoms on it or theyll be shredded in crank....stop pulling my leg....and if you decide to never ride it you could always use the pulleys to sharpen knives
Thanx. No it is not a motorcycle engine, it is engine for universal use, like waterpumps, generators etc., but you can get more rpm and hp with simple modifications. Without gearbox, i built it with variable transmission (CVT).
Thank you. It is standard Honda GX200 (clone) , with my modifications: vertical cylinder position, carb, exhaust, no governor, CVT, decorative aluminium vintage style valve cover.
Rims: Weinmann DHL-42 26". Tires: Schwalbe Fat Frank. Hubs: Front drum brake hub, rear- custom made with laser cut high flange with holes for rear sprocket and disc brake mount.

I don't know, 10+?. Remowed governor, heavy duty valve springs, vm22 carb, but cast iron flywheel that dangerous in highest rpm. I need cnc aluminium flywheel, but stock flywheel looks more vintage.
My new bike project: ua-cam.com/video/5AXCGWOt34s/v-deo.html
Hi. I built this frame, but not sell anything, it's just my hobby.
Job well done, beautiful bike.
WOW... LOST FOR WORDS. THE BEST I HAVE SEEN ON UA-cam. AMAZING BUILD AND THANKS FOR SHARING.
Thanks!
had that exact same clutch / belt drive setup on a mini bike when i was a pup.

This Sound Like music to my ears, not any music, but the best of the best.Thanx for sharing this video.
Hi friend, can you tell me what the size of this rim is?
whether it is 26, 27.5 or 29"
Hi. It is 26'' Weinmann DHL-42 rims, with Schwalbe Fat Frank tyres.
@@anton.j. thank you friend
fellow, what a beautiful bike... but 4+ minutes of only engine noise and nothing more? I was all the way waiting to see it rolling... just an idea.

Hmmmm where is the spark plug? Love the bike my favorite over all!
Thank you. 3:42 Look at the spark plug cable, front side of head.
How did you get it to oil right with the cylinder in the vertical position
In practic no problem with it after 7 years. Many of bike projects with the same engines have a vertical ctlinder position.
@@anton.j. This is wonderful to know I may be able to get away from the use of the old flatheads i I do like my old flatheads
Why is the rear wheel spinning if the clutch isn’t engaged?
It is normal for this CVT belt. Very slightly moving, you can stop the wheel with one finger.
You can't feel it when the wheel is on the ground.
Anton. J. Ah got you
with mounting the motor like that, do you have any oil starvation problems?
No. After 3 years still runnin well. Just always check oil level, and I topped up if needed.
Anton. J. ok thank you
Is that a CVT ?
Yes.
where did you get the engine from?
It is standard Honda GX200 (clone) , with my modifications.

how hp?
I don't know, 10+?. Remowed governor, heavy duty valve springs, vm22 carb, but cast iron flywheel that dangerous in highest rpm. I need cnc aluminium flywheel, but stock flywheel looks more vintage.
Lawn-mower engine so 2 hp at most. Can you not ride it..? You would cool the engine better if it was moving.
