The Bushy Beard!
Maybe this is just my interpretation but I always thought it was two friends ended up in bed together, "broke up" because they were "better off as friends", and then realized that they actually were in love with each other.
I like the honesty in the reactions. A lot of channels do just say what they think viewers want to hear. On the women empowerment front, I don't know if you've ever heard of the bad feminist essays but it's the concept of being a feminist and for women empowerment while also enjoying and participating in things that are at odds with that belief system. I think this song and FU (and others on this album and in the previous ones) are an example of that. Yeah, it doesn't preach women empowerment and independence but that's because the girls are human and not every one of their 80+ songs can preach the perfect message to women on how to act in life and relationships and how to feel about themselves and their romantic relationships and partners. That ignores that women are human and make mistakes and stay in bad relationships and make bad decisions and ignore the advice of friends and family and get hung up on a person that's bad for them. It's great that you have a one and done rule for your relationships but the majority of people don't (men included) and sometimes they do go back to their exes whether it ends up working out or not. I think it's actually a really important part of the "woman empowerment theme" that their songs include mistakes and bad decisions because they don't put women on a pedestal that they would die falling off of. Women are not perfect and holding them to that standard in media only sets them up to have poor self-esteem in real life. Even your most enthusiastic, independent feminist is going to make bad choices (romantic and otherwise) because they're human and it's better for women to see representation in media that has other women they look up to making mistakes than to think that they're a failure for not getting it right on the first try and then hating themselves for it.
I think that was a very well thought out and insightful comment!
I agree, I always thought this song wasn’t necessarily a relationship song and it was about a friendship
This was very well written! Thank you does it matter!
Me taking 3 hours reading this lol but yea very well written and I agree
I agree with your mom as well this song isn’t about needing and relying on someone it’s expressing their love for this person and their presence
The fact that you believe that every single song is going to be about empowerment when its not gonna be they sing songs about women empowerment AND through experience so yes their all about that but in many many many interviews they talked about how the write from experience too and either way they are going to write songs about love and sex they are grown women🙃🙂 in conclusion agreed with bushy mama 100%
I get that.
you can't say because they're independent woman they can't still miss someone or they can't still love someone
I get what you're saying
Charlie actually hit on Jade not Jesy☺️
it's a shame that you are not going to do lives anymore because glory days is one of their best tours from vocals, to dancing,to choreo, to stage, to production, to costumes, and i mean everything was so on point it's 1 of my fave.if you can do 2 or 3 every week that would be great
when you have an artist, you won`t always get what they stand for because they are singing sometimes about thing that happens in their daily life, it isn`t always black and white
I don’t think the song is as deep as you’re trying to make it.😂
You're probably right!
@@BeardedReactions yeah your reading to much into it. Their record company used to push them to do pop/bubblegum pop
Yeh they have said that they are feminists and say a lot of there songs are about female empowerment doesn’t mean all of them have to be about it and I don’t think it’s the opposite of there message just think it’s a fun break up love song also are u going to do more live performances and vids after u finish there journey cus there’s is some really good performances that I know that u would love especially for get weird glory days and lm5
I get that for sure!
@@BeardedReactions also it's written by Charlie puth so .......
I understand what you think about the last two songs, but LM already talked about it and they said that situation can happen with everyone and don't necessarily mean that you're no independent, but you're like everyone and love and made mistakes. Being independent doesn't mean you don't need love or someone and sometimes you can regret about your decisions, just saying for you know, respect your opinion!!! ;)
I get that for sure! And thank you! 🙂
i understand that but the lable threw out certain songs they made because it wasn’t what they wanted that’s why the girls left the lable because they were tired of always writing the same thing and wanted to write about more serious things
It’s gets better with the LM5 era
Yes agreed, glory days era was good but at the same time that was when it kind of went down hill with there ex label s*co because S*mon/his label were telling the girls that they had to do things a certain way and couldn’t write songs about female empowerment because he didn’t want that. Then during LM5 the girls parted ways with s*co and they tell there stories and it’s a woman empowerment album
Makes sense
I appreciate the honesty. You don't kiss up to fan bases; you just voice your perspective. I love the song but unfortunately Little Mix hate it because of the situation with Charlie. They only performed it once and they had it scrubbed off UA-cam afterwards 😭
Understandable ! And I have to be honest. That is who I am at the core. I know it may not make me one of the biggest UA-camrs out there, but it let's people who follow me, know I am not lying to them!
That’s one of the reasons they hate this song. They didn’t think it was authentically themselves. Charlie wrote it and they didn’t have a choice because Simon Cowell called Charlie Puth and told him can you write a song like his song Marvin Gaye and collaborate on it with Little Mix the girls didn’t have a choice it was all Simon.
I get that for sure!
One thing I know for sure is that the lable pushed them to do quite a few popy songs like this as its "marketable"
I get that too!
Little Mix actually don’t like this song. It could be because of the lyrics(they didn’t write it) or because it’s bubblegum pop or also the fact that Charlie kept hitting on Jade when she had a boyfriend. I personally think it’s all of the above. It was pushed by their label since Charlie was a feature.
I must like bubblegum pop!
Very true!
Little Mix has way "worst" lyrics (in a sense that more strongly about needing someone) than this, I doubt they have anything against this lyrics
I get the girls hating it but I never understood why the song had that much hate by the fans, when it was first released (this was one of my favourites from Glory Days). BTW, Playing it on vinyl sounds soo good!!!
Because they like to bandwagon hate things. Oops is a great song.
I bet it does!
The next song has live performance on tour, I really hope you react bc UA-cam don't block this videos, pls
Charlie and Little mix is a very good combo.
Charlie's perfect pitch and falsettos are perfection. I really want a Charlie x Zayn or Charlie x Liam Payne collab. Also Charlie has a rare talent. He can say what pitch it is just by hearing it. Idk how to explain it. But he hears a sound and knows what pitch it is.
Also i think what if they broke up coz of the situation.and now they sit back and in hindsight, it was a bad decision. Their problems were big but their love is bigger. They definitely had issues but they can't help being in love with that person. Had this problem a couple of months ago. I had a chat with one of my ex, he had broken up with me some years ago but i thought what if I can forgive him. He has been hinting on it. but I thought of it for a long time and I don't have the feelings now. So I didn't get back. But if someone else was in my situation and had feelings, they definitely would get back together.
I get that for sure!
@@BeardedReactions also Charli and Liam have done a collab but not official collab. Charlie wrote a song for Liam and has added a little bg vocal.
Not all their songs have to be about female empowerment. They also just sing about real life situations. Women make mistakes. They all always say that they are happy and love themselves, a partner just adds to that happiness
I get that too!
Honestly this song is 100% Charlie Puth, its not Little Mix's style. I can def see Oops on one of his albums.
For sure!
Can you and bushy mama please react to an Introduction to Little Mix please?
Yesss
He reacted to it by himself unfortunately: ua-cam.com/video/bSFfsGxGxl4/v-deo.html
Understandable or at least an UNhelpful guide to Little Mix idk it would give both of them a better perspective of how they actually are tbh
@@calliewilde9613 un(helpful) guide and introducing each member videos would be great!
I just said the introduction to Little Mix just because @Bushy Mama hasn’t reacted to it yet and I just think it’s a good video to watch multiple times and get to know each girl a little more even though Bushy has seen it ☺️
I noticed you guys skipped Power and No more sad songs. I hope you guys plan to react to it even just the lyric videos and not the music videos
I don't think we skipped either. They might have gotten blocked. But I remember doing both of them.
Bearded Reactions oh that sucks. we won’t be getting any reacting of their singles which were the highlights of this era
Women Empowerment is their motto, but they are artist, so they will sing about whatever they want really.
The girls have said that because they're independent and female empowerment doesn't mean they don't have days off like all of us, and that's what this song is kinda about, imo you're taking everything way too literal and out of proportion. Also, this song was pushed by the label and the collab as well, this wasn't written by them and they have said this is one of songs they'd say no today. Also I think you didn't understand the message of f.u. because you were focusing on the details way too much, that's just me. Little Mix most female empowerment era is lm5 and is also because they finally got out of their chest a lot of things they've been wanting to say forever and because they knew the end with syco was coming with lm5 it was like this is our album, you can't have it and we're out lol. They've had to fight a lot to have their most female empowerment songs out because the label wasn't too happy with that and the girls couldn't care less if they like it or not, especially with glory days and lm5.
I get that!
Oh my....Mama was right as always, i think your reading way to much into these songs they are just fun pop songs, they have no reflection on the girls and the way they think and live there lives.... in though the nose and out though the mouth...... take a chill pill sit back and enjoy! smh 🙄 I get your reacting but seems a bit over the top dramatic. Just me being honest 😂🤣
You're allowed to be honest!
Personally, I like this song but it isn't their sound and I think I would like it more if it was by a different artist, like maybe Meghan Trainor. It's a cutesy song, kind of tongue in cheek like... "Oops can you believe I'm so silly that I would do this? Hehehe" Kind of reminds me of the 50s and the humor in the music/shows from that era.
That being said I do still feel weird about it having been written by a man/men and then given to young women to sing. That feels a bit outdated/sexist to me, mainly bc of the nature of the lyrics. If it had been written by women for themselves, or by a man for himself then I wouldn't have a problem with it.
Finding out about how charlie treated jade afterward just adds to the slightly icky feeling I get when I think too hard about this song.
I do still think it's fun and catchy though if I just let it be a song and not a think piece lol
(Sorry for the essay!)
I do get Trainer vibes!
I get what your saying dude but I’ve had this exact experience. I had a best friend that I started dating and we were real happy ngl but it was kinda awkward for the friendship group so we broke up. We made the decision but for a long time after I still loved her and wanted to be with her. I know she felt the same but we never got back together it just happens like that sometimes 🤷🏼♀️
I get that for sure! Thank you for sharing!
Also, I meant to ask. Have your mom watched their journey on the x-factor and the introduction to little mix like you have? You both should react to the introducing each member. Each video is like 12-15 mins, so that'd be cool for your mom and you to react in between albums and also to know a little more about them...
Agreed!!
We have done the xfactor one but have to do the intro one;
I wish I could watch the little mix video you tried to upload on bitchute 😢
I wish anyone could lol. I have no idea what is going on with it.
@@BeardedReactions 😭
I 💯 understand your opinion cuz everyone is entitled to one and you shouldn’t get slammed just because they have a different opinion to someone else so no one can get angry over your opinion. Little Mix had always sang every song about Women Empowerment then it would be kind of boring and plus their ex label Syco were very strict with the songs Little Mix would put out and that’s why they had to scrap a whole album because the label wasn’t happy about it. Syco has also cancelled tours in America for Little Mix and use to tell them to flirt with the men on the radio so that their songs would get played more 😳
I get that too! Thank you for your input Mahik!
@@BeardedReactions loved the reaction keep up the great work ❤️
I always get reminded of the Britney spears opps I did it again song when I hear little mixs omg lol.
I know you already reacted to shout out to my ex and touch and UA-cam had to be lame about it... but maybe for the next song before you react you can tell us what your overall thoughts of them were?
Eh and keep being honest!! It is way better to have a sincere point of view as opposed to the over the top where the person clearly doesn't like it but then says it is amazingl!
Little mix has soon to be 6 albums not every song is for everybody. For instance the next song on your list is usually always skipped by me. This one depends some days I find it annoying other days catchy🤣.
Sounds good!
I think you’re confusing two things that aren’t related. You can be an independent women, A strong and powerful women who doesn’t necessarily need a man but in life we get caught up in things we don’t ask for. Sometimes men AND women can be manipulative in relationships (in regards to FU) and you get caught up in it. Love happens
I get that!
Honestly, I don't like this song. Yes, it's catchy, but that's not their style. Charlie wrote the song and music. The song itself was imposed by their label, they didn't really want it. And I agree with Bushy's opinion. They seem to beg. I like F. U. It's more about toxic and unhealthy relationships and dependence on another person. While this song is about "selflessness" (I don't know what to call it). This is my personal opinion. (sorry for my English)
You're English is awesome!
