Great video, Ken. You hit the nail on the head with affiliates. The company should absolutely ask you for a partnership. It just doesn't feel right for it to be the other way around. New content creators need to be patient and pay their dues first. Their time will come. And ensure that company has good ethical standards as well. Once affiliated, your name is attached as well.
This was a great video idea! I think a lot of people have this perception that UA-cam will get you rich quick which isn't the case. I also think it's tacky when people ask companies for free products. Nobody should expect anything for free, even if their plan was to do a review. Companies will reach out if they are interested in their content and the reviews they are putting out. I don't think it's right to put them in an awkward position like that. Just my personal opinion. Another great video Ken. UA-cam, well I started our channel because I got bored doing our blog and wanted to challenge my mind. Now I'm monetized and even though wasn't my main goal it's fun. I also have used a certain CBD product for years and have a affiliate code for them that's on my channel but it's really just there and I don't push it. We also started a Buy Me a Coffee account that has been generating money but every penny of that plus what we kick in gets donated to No Kill Shelters. We are fortunate that we are not looking for extra money to live and what we do get is just mad money.
Yea if I was to put money first I would have quit! Being monetized only a couple months the Amazon affiliate links and BMAC have contributed. Also along with great supporters including yourself with giving superchats during livestreams. Ad revenue is a slow process but I keep learning. Thanks Ken.
