Hey! Kaalia and Delina player here. It was an honour to be in one of your videos. Scooping while not giving your all is really bad for the games in MTGO, since you can someday top deck a boardwipe that can even handle any odds! Hope to play again!
How you played was very admirable and you could’ve turned the game around if you hadn’t been abandoned. I’ve pulled games back countless times and they’re by far the most satisfying wins, so you were let down there.
Mad respect to the Kaalia player for playing that one out, especially considering the scoops from the other two. Not saying they almost had you there but if the other two weren't cowards they definitely could have broken out from under you with some effort/teamwork.
Playing mtgo is like ordering ice cream: you get at least two scoops. Also I love the movie reference in the thumbnail 😂 you activated my childhood memories like a sleeper agent. Thank you for the upload!
Ya know.. I understand where the notion to scoop it up and move on comes from. Before I mained Commander I played Modern almost exclusively, and once you understood the meta and could read board states well enough, plus just knowing your own deck, you could tell when a game was finished, even if it hadn't technically ended yet. This was almost a mandatory skill to have imo for when you played decks like UW Control, otherwise you'd be stranded all day, spinnin' your wheels and gettin nowhere. The problem, I think, is that people have picked up on this lesson, and are now following it badly. Most of the time people seem to scoop it's not when the game is for sure over, it's when they incorrectly assume it's over without actually understanding how possible it is things could turn around. It's like, I want to support smart scooping, as I always did back when I played modern... but there's nothing smart about most of the people scooping on MTGO. They get a little bit of pushback and suddenly they just bitch out, quit, and probably go pout in a corner or something. It's ridiculous.
Yeah well there’s always going to be naysayers about everything I do. I just block early scoopers now without even thinking about it because I’ve put up with it for years to the detriment of my own games. If the player genuinely had a good reason he can always contact me in private and I can unblock him.
I think that you playing high power cards and running over people and playing a second game is better because you don’t have the ease of a pregame talk on MTGO

Exactly. Very, very admirable from Kaalia. Could’ve turned the game around with some help from the other two.

I can hear the songs in my head!
Good showing, funny hits off that cascade, last oppo is a gentleman.
He’s a saint and a scholar.
Love the gamble game 1 by Delina player. One red to search for a card and immediately discard it.

Etali is a fun deck to watch. Glad you did good without flipping it.
Great player in the second game being a good sport!
Absolutely.
GGs as always!! 🔥🔥
I LOVE ETALI
Playing etali is pretty fun
Yessss finally
just play fast mana anyone who doesn't think its casual is a bot.
Seems a little weird to block the guy for scooping because he had to go. Lord forbid someone has personal obligations to take care of.

The chat is literally right there, you have a small amount of context. It seems just a little 10 ply tbh.

Yeah that’s an idea. If I end up getting a short one sided game I could try playing another one right away to try and get some variance.
