Ok after hearing u play with this I was blew away by the super real cinematic feel of this, I am a cinematic fanatic. I just knew it was gon get a 5 out of 5, but since not, I gotta go catch back up & go thru yo videos & find as many 5 outta 5 cinematic reviews as I can lol, cause I cant imagine something better, great review tho as always fam, THANK YOU!!!!!!
Hereal Butler Lot's of great stuff, even if it's not 5 out of 5, still sounds amazing. If I'm doing a video on it, that means I think it's worth checking out :)
This sounds good. Nothing I need though since I already got a big enough studio, and I also got my knowledge about harmonizing music. But for those who don't know chords I can definitely see a big use for this library.
No doubt, it's cool, also I think it's more about the actual ensemble recordings playing the chords with real legato transitions and not just the chord/voicing itself.
Great review as always. By the way, I couldn't help but notice that you've got Lumina. Any chance you'll review that at some point? Keep up the good work! :)
Kinda need someone who knows and displays music theory to show the full capabilities of an orchestrator- because there’s the MELODIC scale of C minor (C D Eb F G Ab Bb C) which you would play the MELODY with as he is BUT - WHEN playing the melody piece of C Eb F G you can’t just thump your fingers on those keys and call it done. Your ears hear the difference even if you don’t know or care at all about theory, even if you hate theory and think it’s unnecessary- your ears EXPECT it. So the above melody would be played with major and minor chords not just minor because a minor key. To follow the harmonic rules it would be Cm EbMaj Fm GMaj(7) and Cm to end. Try that against Cm Ebm Fm Gm Cm.
Saint Joe's demos are among the best around and I cannot understand those 4 morons putting thumb down. Keep up your great work Saint Joe. I bought many libraries you reviewed (including this one and almost the whole collection of Eduardo Tarilonte) and all my purchases have been well done. 1000 thumbs up!
+Maurizio Urbani My friend although I don't really share the THUMBS DOWN, I do can understand why some people may find these reviews not that effective. Most of us can appreciate the efforts of Saint Joe but as a the keyboard player for many many years that I am, I can assert Mr. Joe lacks of a full display of knowledge of the pertaining articulations and/or the musical idiom that many playing instruments must have, I guess that is a key thing when you are testing any library. His phrases trying this library (like many other reviews may have noticed) make me run for cover, not to mention his improvised demos. He is clearly the type of player who I think is fully knowledgeable of MIDI and the all that technobabble, taking advantage of today's sequencing technology, but clearly a live musician or even a semi-skilled live piano/keyboard player, must certainly he is not, ergo the lack of knowledge doing phrasing or compositions on the fly to test any of these virtual instruments. However, all that being said, I do appreciate the effort though.!!
+Angel Mario Menendez I've never claimed to be a live musician, nor a composer. I review for people who are like me, and those who want to know what this stuff sounds like. It's all relative to the person watching. Seems to work for many who like what I do, for those that need a different context, full compositions, or a more skilled player to hear what something sounds like, there are plenty of great guys and gals on youtube that do videos as well. I watch them myself, awesome folks :) Thanks for the comments!
@@angelmariomenendez8807 That's alot of shade, for my man Saint Joe, this information is the future of music production, helping you quickly get the ideas out more quickly instead of more traditional scoring, I understand where you are coming from but, Saint Joe and tools like this has been " Hanz Zimmers " and " Danny Elfman's " secret for years who were the first to offer complete " Midi Mockups" allowing the producers to hear a the complete rendition of the score, before the scoring stage and the orchestrator.
DREAMY sound!, But the price might wake me up with a headache :) :) Have you ever demo'd the "Spitfire" stuff? Dreamy sound you can AFFORD :) Thanx for the Demo!!!
SteamWorksTutorials I hear ya, I'm considering an 88 key workstation, to get some sounds along with it. We'll see though. Which one did you get and how do you like it?
Great review, I'm thinking about getting this. Just one question: 2 octaves seems quite limited. How would you suggest getting a broader range? Is there a similar library with say, 4 octaves? Thanks.
@soundsandgear.com will I be able to use this in Kontakt player 5.4 while lacing that in Protools 8.5? Im thinking about buying this for an extra tool for scoring which I do in Protools but im just not sure if this will be ok in the player lacing it into Protools?

Have you ever demo'd the "Spitfire" stuff? Dreamy sound you can AFFORD :) Thanx for the Demo!!!
Thanks for watching man! No Spitfire stuff yet but have heard great things!
So this works on the free kontakt player for sure?
Yes, it's a Kontakt Player library.
Ok I found a 5 out of 5, the Cinebrass Pro, thanks a billion my dude.
Hereal Butler Hahaha, no doubt lol
allo mate! since your initial review has SAM updated orchestrator? improved bumps in legato? as usual excellent vid.
+Simon Gentry Thanks for watching, not sure if they've updated it or not.
in their videos they talk about updates. spitfire also talks about updates,
+Simon Gentry They usually send out the updates automatically, I don't remember seeing one for this but I may have missed it lol.
Hi! Very nice video man! What do you think about Lumina? It is better than this one? Thanks!!
Juan Cristiani Lumina is a much larger library so will have much more content, they aren't really aimed to be the same product.
I have an eighty eighty key MIDI controller FTW!
Nice, been looking at getting one myself!
Well it all depends on if you need all the dials and such. The one I got has pitch bend and modulation wheel and such and was about 150 Euros.
SteamWorksTutorials I hear ya, I'm considering an 88 key workstation, to get some sounds along with it. We'll see though. Which one did you get and how do you like it?
M-AUDIO with semi-weighted keys
SteamWorksTutorials Cool
Great review, I'm thinking about getting this.
Just one question: 2 octaves seems quite limited. How would you suggest getting a broader range? Is there a similar library with say, 4 octaves? Thanks.
+Niall Grant Thanks for watching, there are other orchestral products out there I've reviewed a few, maybe checkout Spitfire or CineSamples.
Spitfire Albion is perfect for my needs. Getting it now. Cheers Saint!
+Niall Grant No problem, they are great
Not a fan of the premade chords, as a jazz trained pianist I already know how to play chords but these things rarely have the *right* chords
Cool, good for those who are not jazz trained or just want trigger chords quickly.
Is this something like Cinesamples CineOrch?
Kinda in the same vein as that, a bit more in terms of the different patches but similar concept, and with a very smooth playable legato.
will you make a review for lumina?
Yeah I plan to do one
thank you :)
FLcompositions HipHop / Pop Instrumental Beats No problem, thanks for watching.

Yeah it's a Kontakt Player library
Thanks! I was confused but glad I can still use that in Protools 8.5 good vid bro!
Abrasive101 No problem!
ooh, so airy.
thanks for watching
sounds bad ass
gotta love Kontakt
Gotta love ProjectSAM :)
