    Good choice Chris! And this is kinda remind me like for David Newman and Jerry Goldsmith's original technique scores!

    Hi Christopher,
    Thanks for the video. Very helpful.
    This is a very useful library, will save a lot of time when I need some runs.

    The problem I have with these run libraries (I have CSR and HWW) is that they end with shorts. My kingdom for a library that ends with longs. It's a struggle to blend and make shorts sound natural. They can work well at the actual end of a song but fitting them in within a piece is tough because the runs ends with shorts. Then you have to noodle with layering in longs to soften the blow and make it sound right. Why don't these libraries offer a choice of longs for the last notes?

      Exactly my opinion also.So far VSL runs is my goto.That library can start on any note in the scales which is really helpful!

      I thought about that and then I realized it’s very difficult especially for winds to finish a one octave run on a long note... think about the amount of air needed. As for strings, the tuning of that last long would be shaky, especially after a bunch of 16th notes. All in all, I just think it’s not realistic in a real context, and computers mislead us in that sense..

      @@producewithjt how are string runs handled by live performance than? Surely they can end on longs?

    Great video and I love the librarie! Gonna check it out real soon. I was wondering if you explain the chord progression you used. There is not a key that contains all these chords, right? What key is the song in and where are you modulating? I'm only starting to learn theory now, so I'm super lost. Thanks for the attention!

    Hey Christopher, thanks for the review! d’you happen to know if there is a midi drag and drop function in this library so you can apply the runs to a different library in Logic Pro X for example?

    Is it possible to make the last note of the run sustained instead of short tail like that?

    Just saw this one! What do you think Christopher, does it beat Hollywoodwinds when it comes to runs? It does seem to lack a few scales. But it is truly great that it encompasses more instruments.

    • @ChristopherSiu
      @ChristopherSiu  3 роки тому +2

      I think HWW has a lot of more options in terms of textures and effects, while the strength of this library is in the multiple instruments together and the adaptive sync if you need it.

    I don't understand why they would only include major and minor scales 🤔 Most of the runs libraries have whole tone scale, harmonic min, melodic min, etc. That would've made this a one-stop library for runs. This way...no reason to buy it really 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @ChristopherSiu
      @ChristopherSiu  3 роки тому +2

      Yes, that's one of its pitfalls at the moment.
