Elephant cow giving birth

The rare and beautiful sighting of an elephant cow giving birth was recently capture by a visitor Adam Fillmore, and shared on the South African National Parks Facebook. Interesting fact: Elephants are the largest land mammals in the world, so it's perhaps not surprising that they have the longest pregnancy of any living mammal. African elephants are pregnant for an average of 22 months, whilst for Asian elephants it's 18 to 22 months.
